Poll:What items have you upgraded?

Let's see what items SPF members tend to upgrade the most. By upgrade, I mean to transform from a normal to an exceptional or elite item (or from an exceptional to an elite version) by cubing them with runes. Please indicate which items you have actually upgraded during your Single Player career -you may 'vote" for as many items as are appropriate.

The poll format would only allow me to list ten items, so I tried to pick ten uniques that I think might be commonly upgraded. If you have up'ped other items please indicate that in your message and I'll try to keep a running tally and summarize it every once in a while. Also, if you've doubly upgraded an item please indicate that in a text message as well.

The four items I wish I could have put into the poll but couldn't fit were Goblin Toe, Fleshrender, Skystrike and Rattlecage. We'll see whether they get any 'write-in votes".

I upped a Goldstrike arch.

 

I've upgraded a bonesap as it easily beats any exceptional hammers and at only lvl 29 (as far as i remember). I've also upgraded a headstriker as it is possibly my fave sword in the game (that i have come across thus far). It is also the only thing i had that was worth upgrading when i found the runes and i wanted to upgrade something...

I've upped a Duriels Shell and a Moser's Blessed Circle.. at the time i thought it was a great idea as I had the runes and both items were being used by chacters (armour on tesladin, shield shared between fishymancer and sorc) yet now later when i have a lot more items from the game i feel it was a bit of a waste

 

An upped Kelpie Snare and Shaftstop are de rigeur for my mercs when boss running. Tres chic.

Well actually you can, anyone who upgraded eth armor and vamp gaze.

Hmm... tempted to make a new zealot weapon now :lol:

 

Watch for the short range though, there is a bug with range 1 weapon and zeal.

I have Shaftstop and Kelpie Snare personally upped so far, I can't seem to decide on other items thinking that it might be a waste.
I think I also have an upped HoZ from trade...
That's all I can remember.

I was once tempted to up my perfect Vamp Gaze, but it was a good thing that read somewhere (most likely here) that when you up one, it might (or will) actually have a lower defense cause Bone Visage have a lower defense.

If you are using a range 1 weapon and click attack a monster while out of range, often you will walk up to a range 2 or 3 distance and start doing normal attack. You'll have to manuelly direct your char into range before start attack. Not that big of deal, but gets on your nerve after a while.

You won't see me blowing perfectly good runes on anything less than the mighty Ribcracker. If you need a 2-handed weapon, this is IT.

not sure i can remember them all. have upgraded quite a few rares as well as uniques. rares like gloves with +2 passive skills, mana steal. and boots with 3 different resists and faster rw

2x darkglow armour. like this for mercs.

I will up some Goreriders if and when I get my assassin high enough.

I'd up an ethereal Kelpie Snare if I found one.

 

Wouldn't the Strength requirement increase too much for a Sin?
But what do I know, I haven't tried it...

Just tried some computation: Myrmidon Greaves = 208 strength req, subtracting 25% less requirements mod, that's 156... maybe not too high after all...

I've upgraded 3 or 4 goldwraps and one eth (198) Hone Sundan. I often forget to socket/up things, I just use them and use them and realize later "dam, I coulda amn'd/shael'd/up'd that, oh well too late now."

If I get around to it, I am sure there are other things I want to upgrade, like a decent Kelpie, nice Ribcracker, perfect Bonesnap... just don't find enough of the useful stuff, at least not in the numbers that crud drops.

 

I've upped a Goldwrap, Lenymo, and as soon as I reach the proper level, I'll up Ribcracker.

I upped Lenymo, because I like the belt a lot and I didn't like the fact that it only held eight potions.

 

I've upped a bonesnap and a steeldriver, I'll up my goreriders if/when I get around to making a kicker.
