Poisonmancer + Rabies Druid...any experiences?

I am planning to play a poisonmancer (maybe dagger, maybe Nova) in a party with a Rabies Druid.

Now, the Druid claims, that Rabies will overwrite any poison, while it cannot be overwriten by e.g my Poison Nova.

That sounds like those builds in one party would not help each other, actually be counterproductive.

Does anyone here have experiences with that?
