Poison vs. The Ancients
I need help with a poison/daggermancer that I haven't seen in the other threads: how to deal with The Ancients. My level 80 daggermancer has gone pretty easily through Hell until Act 5, but The Ancients keep slapping him down in seconds.
My setup (SP, untwinked) is:
blackbog's Sharp
peasant crown
vipermagi
waterwalk boots
trang's gloves
Ravenfrost
crafted caster belt
crafted caster amu w/+1 skills
rare head w/+1 skills, resist all & +2 revive
on switch blackhand key; rare head w/+1 skills & resist all
(I have a teleport staff left in the stash used in the maggot lair)
The poison tree is maxed. In the summon tree (after +to skills) I have 10 points SM and RS, 6 in revive, and 5 in mage. Like everyone I have 1 pt in Gumby, GM, and summon resist. 1 point in all curses.
For stats I have base energy, ~60 strength, 175 dex, and everything else in vitality. My merc is Act 2 (Holy Freeze), also at level 80.
I invested the summoning points hoping to distract the Ancients long enough for the poison to take out one of them, but so far I can't even come close. It quickly degenerates into me running in circles shrieking like a little girl whilst sucking rejuvs, spamming p. nova and recasting gumby. Not pretty.
Any recommendations on a good strategy for dealing with the Ancients when using poison?
