poison/second?

If you have a weapon that does 275 poison over 6 seconds and add a Tal to it to add 75 poison over 5 seconds, does the poison spread out to an even 350 poison over 6 seconds? Or are the first 5 seconds more intense poison?

Ok so that one second isn't the most important thing ever, but hey, I was curious.

Here is an explanation as to how poison works, I doubt it's changed much since then, if it is I'm sure someone will point it out.

Thanks; I had no idea about any of that. Knowing that your poison duration gets the same penalites as resists in higher difficulties seems pretty important, but I've never heard a thing about this. Good stuff.
