Poison resist problems? help

Ok so I have an 85 sorc I can survive fine in hell and solo it easy... until I come across a poison creature. I don't even bother running andy when I'm doing magic find runs because for me its the hardest boss in the game.

My resists are max fire, 35% cold (but my raven frost seems to make up for this), 68% lightning, and -5% poison.

My equipment is full tal's, frostburns, nagelring, aldur's advance, lidless wall. I'm going to socket my lidless with a pdiamond to bring up my other res's and make the fire resists on my aldur's expendable but my poison resists will still be horrible.

My question is, what poison resist boots are out there? What's the max you can get from rare boots? Should I take a different approach?

Just get a couple nice poison resist charms and you should be all set. Most of us use a Spirit runeword shield which helps, but the str req is high (156) so that's up to you.

yeah i thought about that, but since I didn't put that into mind when I made my character I feel it would really bound me to using a strength ring (i actually have a nice one) and war travs (they're nice but not nice enough for the price imo) for all the wrong reasons and still it would take me a couple levels to have enough strength.

Just wondering whats the max psn resist you can get from charms and what do they cost?

11% from small charms.
15% from large charms.
30% from grand charms.

And then there is the +all res charms, but those are quite expensive.

Or you could dedicate a row in your belt to antidote potions. Annoying to refill when you run out, but effective nevertheless.

I usually have 1-2 antidotes in the inventory for such cases. The space for small charms could easily be occupied by better charms, like those that add both life and mana.

Fastest solution is actually: Cast town portal and go heal if the damage is really coming down bad.

Just like Magpielee, I would suggest Sandstorm, HUGE poison resist.
one note though... if by poison creatures you mean those stupid snakes in Nilk's area (where you hunt for Dkey), then no matter what you use, it would not matter. You could have 100000 poison resist and those snakes will still eat you alive with their level 2 gazillion poison.

I use the Jade Tan Do Kris.

95% Poison resist and raises max poison resist by 20%. As a side benefit it also has the 'cannot be frozen' attribute.

Swapping in this weapon lets you laugh at Andariel.
