Hello everyone reading this. Im making a mid lvl dueling poison javazon/bowa hybrid and would like to know how poison javalin stands up vs plague javalin and how both function. When you toss a plague javalin and it explodes does the trail of green gas poison people who pass through it or is it just the expanding cloud that poisons. I know how poison javalin works but the durations...insane. It would need to do more than 3x more dmg than plague to stand up vs it. Note that I only will lvl to 58 and therefore have a mere 62 skills to use...66 if i hell rush, so I need to be economical. Btw is it worth getting ias or fcr to speed up the javalin cast?

I know that at equal levels, Poison Javelin will have a higher damage displayed than Plague Javelin.

Also, Plague Javelin leaves a trail similar to Poison Javelin, and causes a poison explosion at the point of impact (or wherever you click) at the cost of less damage.

Correct me if I'm wrong...this is from seeing moderately low level (around 10?) poison/plague javelin as requirements for my charged strike amazon.

I think that Poison javalin, thought displaying more dmg, is less efective, cause it takes too long to hurt, is much more prone to "poison lenght reduced by 75%"... While plague javelin display less dmg, it's much faster, and much more effective AFAIK.
But I'm no expert on this, check the guides, there's a poison javazon guide somewhere.

K ty for the input, I know for a fact poison javalin does more dmg but also takes much longer to deliver it. Does anyone who actually pvps with this care to deliver some input?

Btw does Trangs gloves have the same bonus of doubling its own 25% to poison dmg as it does on ww sins and the like on a plaguezon.

poison javelin is absolutelly useless in PvP
(i know, i have maxed poison-plague javelin, Trang gloves, 5/5 poison facets in Shako and Stormshield and9 java skillers and still, it's useless).
My poiZon (Lvl 84) has ~80k poison damage (without Bramble). If i start a poison amazon again i'd max poison and plague javelin, and just forget about facets and Trang gloves and would just go for attack speed.
I'd build a very fast amazon, with maxed multishot and lots of IAS (95% with Faith GMB is cool). On weaponswitch Titan's and Stormshield (well, u can socket this with poison facet as i did but for PvP put a perfect topaz instead, works much better).
So IMHO if you want to kill players with poison then build a fast bowazon but with less points in dex and more in vita, get a Faith bow and use plague javelin and jab (or LF).

I play pvp with a poison/guided zon. Yes poison jav delivers more damage but the time ratio is insane. My zon is lvl 75 right now and does like 62.5k poison over 19.2 secs with plague jav. thats slightly over 3k per sec. Poison jav does alot more damage but its over like 92 secs(both skills are at lvl 42or43 i believe) and it deals down to like 2.4k per sec. All i use is a 5/4 poison facet in my ss. for mid lvl dueling both should be maxed unless your gonna put pts into d/a/e. So plague jav would probally still be better. And yes the poison tail poisons ppl who run through it too.
