Well, earlier today I was baaling with these guys, and this one hammerdin kept dissing on this other one, who was poorer than him. He kept making fun of his "noob" damage, and junk. The whole tiem I stood there and watched. After a while, a sorc came in. This was right on the act5 minions, and she hostiles. The 'noob pala' came to town adn we continued to talk, while the pally who had his head up his own arse tried to steal a few extra exp off the lister guys. Anyway, he got killed, sorc gave the 'noob pala' the guys ear, we all had a good laugh, and they both left.

Vengeance at full force!

Anyway I had a similar experience 2 nights ago. I decided to go back to non-ladder and see if there were any duel games up. I noticed a game called "item plz" so I decided to go in and give a few mid lvl items to the pally that was in there. He was in Act1 standing beside his tp so I proceded to drop some items by the stash (occy,gaze,doom,hoz). I then went to Act2 to xfer some runes and runewords to another character, came back to grab the stuff and noticed the items I had dropped for the pally were still sitting there. I then asked "Are you there?", no reply. After a few mins he pipes up:

Pally: "Item plz"
Me: "I dropped some by the stash"
Pally: "Item plz"
Me: "Items on ground in town by chest"
Pally: "Item plz"

I then went back to act1 to help this fellow locate the items I had donated to find them gone and him standing by the stash. He then says:

Pally: "Item plz"

Shaking my head in disbelief i then think "If only this ungrateful little punk was lvl 9 so I could pk his sorry /\rse"

Anyway he repeats the only line in his vocabulary a few more times before I exit in disgust.

Next time i'll try and find someone who will actually appreciate item donations. I guess he expected me to drop a few botds and enigmas.

Yea silly me. Lapse in judgement. How could I fuel the begging machine. Should have just gone into a Questing game and dropped them. O well, I learnt my lesson.

Ahh, yesss. The Begbot. Excellent idea. That way, for the truly lazy and stupid, they wouldn't even have to risk having their bot go outside of town.

ahh yes. Spambots are for weenies. I can't wait to get me very own Begbot. That way, I can enter games to annoy the whole of the USWEST server, and then, when I've got a ton of items, I can sell them to Charsi. She's kinda got a thing for me...

Usually when I have the items to start giving them out for free... I just go into the Hardcore channel and pick out the person who seems to have the usual starting out gear. No noticeable good items, or the person who is just trying to get a infernal set piece ect.

Then I whisper them, and show them everything I have and ask what would be useful to them. Invariably they pick 1 or two items and are very thankful.

That is my method. Anyone can join a "free itamz" game with a lvl 1, even though they have lvl 80's with all the good stuff. I actively seek out those who are poor. Since I just started this ladder I'm waiting for someone just like me, who see me asking for death set gloves in the channel!

Now, now. Sometimes you need a lot of oregano for your brownies, say when you're baking for the local church picnic, or having to deal with people on your studid /f list spamming out the equipment wishlists...
