PnB necro advice

Just chill people...

I think Retro's point is that the benefits of max block do not outweigh the loss in HP when dueling in general. That you face more opponents which benefit from you having lower hp and max block than the alternative. The point he made that block won't help you too much vs. BvCs is the observation that if you face a good BvC, your block will not make a big enough difference to offset the downside of having less HP vs all those other classes which benefit more from you having less HP. He based it on his dueling experience, so fair enough.

Reading his posts, i'm pretty sure he didn't mean that blocking is useless.

Personally, I run a max block necro (uswest); mainly because playing from Aus on dialup gives me 400+ ping, so no block is more detrimental to me than the gain in HP.

As to the oringial question, the hardest classes are the es sorc (survive too long, deal big damage), BvC (deals big damage), and windy (lotta life, minion stack negates spirits), mainly for the reason in brackets.

Happy hunting ...

well max block isnt useful JUST vs bvc's.
what happens when zons spam guided's? or youre not quick enough to prison a smiter/charger? pretty much done
Nab: Use summons. Just hope they don't use multi

Lyrs: Use summons. Charge will be nulified. Also 30% of east are not smiters. Atleast not NL.

hmm these are good points put up if u go pure vita is it worth the extra life??

But at the same time if u use a shield with block will it be needed?

Basically i think it all depends on the type of duelers u focus on, cuz vs pure casters, u can see obviously where the higer life is better, however if u decide to take on all i would aim to either use shield when i have to, or try to come half way some how.

Cuz vs mele without block is risky and that extra 900 or so health is not worth much if u get a 1 hit ko from a charging pala or u get shreaded by a bow ama or a random BvC WW as the shield is a good option as it gives good block as well as high DR which will i think increase ur suriviablity vs mele.

at least with shield u have block ideally 75% + still 43% PDR which is quite good.

Gotcha

Block is up to the individual player and retro has his points and if you are godly at negating attacks go all vita.

Max block without SS IMO is not worth the block. If I were to use another shield other then SS for the huge PDR then I would be on Retro's bandwagon since the PDR seems to make a big difference when getting WW'd and the amount of damage taken if a WW gets through.

With Vita you gain like 900 - 1000 extra life which is a lot against casters but a necro should be able to switch gear for the 3 main sorcy's and FOH pally's so the life is not all that huge IMO.

325% lightning resists (FOH'r) : Items + a 160% shield.
Also I carry a 4 Lo shield for regular lightning sorcy's and do not even use an absorb item.
Fire: hotspurs.
Cold: FCR rings with cold resists, gear with resists, helm, whizzy, etc. and 10 10-11% Cold resist/life small charms. You can not stack enough against cold.

Also ES sorcy's are the hardest duel. If they pot you are a dead necro.

By the way, decked out what is a vita build getting in life nowadays?

I tend to be on the gm side, so revives aren't my thing. My experience with gumby is that he doesn't take enough hits.

Also 30% of east are not smiters. Atleast not NL.
Might just be my experience, but I know that there appears to be at least 2 smiter/smiter variation in every game I've been in and at least 1 hammerdin.

Hrm I never considered summons bm in dueling. Preference then.

It's more like out of 7 players in a game. 2-3hdins, 1-2smiters, 2sorcs, 1whatever.
