I had that problem too...for several weeks.
Now how did I fix it..?
I think there was an extension that caused it to do that when I upgraded to 2.0, did you just do that recently?
Or maybe I had to just reinstall.

I'd systematically disable each of your extensions, close and re-open FF and see if any of them are the culprit.

I also think I googled the solution, but it was somewhat buried.

    My version is

    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Dealio Toolbar 3.1 Firefox/2.0.

I arleady reinstalled, how can i manage extensions ???? I am sure , there are not many anyways, as my FF is completely untwinked, i have not changed anything.

Just started downloading an update, maybe that shall help.

EDIT: Nah, update did not help, i am really confused as i have not downloaded any extensions, ive used simple, plain FF all the time.

Ugh, I am so sick of this, did you read the screen you got on imageshack? Take the URL marked DIRECT LINK TO IMAGE, not "tiny little thumbnail no-one on the planet can make out", you damn fool.

    Sorry, but fool yourself, mate.
As i said, nothing has to be read, the gray empty field below the horizontal scroll bar is all you have to see, because i have no extensions or whatsoever, that, as seems, ypu think you might notice if i made it bigger.

So how about I find out the solution and then type it up, take a screenshot, and shrink it to 1/10 of the size. No problems, right?

Re: Pleas help to deal with Mozilla FF problem

Is it a matter of some principle ?
Even in that small pic, one IS able to see the problem i am trying to solve here.

And i repeat that you would not find any useful info that would help in that pic besides THE GRAY EMPTY AREA BELOW THE HORIZONTAL SCROLL BAR, nothing else, i have not tweaked FF in any way at all, have the latest update.

If you are looking for a spat, please, do it somewhere else.
Thanks to Merick for trying to help.

It couldn't possibly be anything else on your system either, nothing that could possibly be seen in say the taskbar or maybe in your list of running programs.

It may be something left over from a spyware toolbar.

Check your C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\chrome\ folder for a file similar to one of the following and delete:

    m3ffxtbr.manifest
    s4ffxtbr.manifest

Restart firefox and you should be good.

A bigger version of the screenie here

Menu at the top of the screen called VIEW

Click on it. Drag your cursor down until you get to the tick next to "status bar". Take your cursor off and it should be unticked.

    Try that.

    My advice would be:

    1) Learn how to use imageshack. It'll take a grand total of two seconds of your time.
    2) Try not to get sand in your vagina at the least provocation.
    3) Uninstall and reinstall from a new download of FF (not the one you used before).

Re: Pleas help to deal with Mozilla FF problem

See if you have the same problem in a new profile.

    Modify a shortcut:

For target, it says something like
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

    Add -p to that.
    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -p

This forces the profile manager to pop up. You can then create a new profile and see if the problem is with your installation or something in your main profile got messed up.

    Edit:
    **** you too.

Re: Pleas help to deal with Mozilla FF problem

The space in between appears to be necessary. I get an error applying the change to the shortcut if i remove the space. There are lots of programs which you can send commands to with a dash and a letter or word. *Crowbar swing* has some itself, iirc.
