Playing DII the way it was meant to be?

After playing for years, nothing seems to satisfy anymore.

I'm wondering if we can get 4 - 8 people together and play through all the acts and difficulties without any contact with the rest of battle.net. No trading, no rushing, no acquiring wps.

I wasn't sure, but is this what "untwinked" means?

I'm sure it would be a bit time consuming, it would take some people with time on their hands, but...

I'm tired of level 90+ baal bots everywhere, tired of HRs being common, tired of a level 1 character to reach level 70 within a few hours.

So would anyone be up for playing through slowly but surely the way DII was meant to be played?

The realm wouldn't matter since we're starting new and not interacting with other people on the realm.

So that's 3 for Europe?

Should we plan which chars to use or just pick whatever we want? It'll be a hell lot easier if we plan a little I think.

This weekend is fine by me.

Better we plan. It will be loads easier and a lot more fun if we play different styles. Here are my choices

Fishymancer
Concbarb (maxed BO)
Or fana Zealot (hope theres a fishy in the game)

My thoughts exactly. Here is my suggestion for an 8 player party

2 Palas (I'm thinking of doing an avenger, don't know if it'll be any good untwinked but it'll be fun I believe. And one zealot for the fana.)
2 Druids (For both HoW and Oak sage. Perhaps one fury and one ele.)
1 Barb (BO etc)
1 Sorc (It just wouldn't be D2 without a sorc.. And Static and tele)
1 Necro (Summoner. Skellies and curses)
1 Assa (Trapper. Very easy build untwinked and the traps would be real nice if I have my avenger.)

So what do you guys think of this? The best part is obviously the lack of a Hammerdin. God I hate them...

And 6 of us should also get act 2 merc. 3 in norm and 3 in nm. For all 6 different auras. Hopefully they wont die too easily.

I'd be up for playing a zealadin or a ele-druid depending on what's left.

And time zones might be a bit hard to work out, I'd play on Europe realm, but I live in the U.S. When would we play on the weekends?

I can't stand playing as a pally so I pick Fury Druid.

I'd take an elemental type druid, if, y'know, someone falls through and can't make it =)

I'll try an untwinked avenger..

If we start playing at about 4-6 pm GMT, a time that should work for most, it could be alright for any americans wanting to join, even though they'd have to stay up all night, or get up real early...
