hi,
i just started a sorceress on europe ladder. i'm just wondering, do we get to keep our characters and use them in single player, after the ladder reset?
it seems like a waste of effort if we don't...

The only way to use bnet characters in Single Player is to make a copy of them with a character editor.

When the ladder is reset, ladder characters turn into non-ladder. I just let them time out then.

are u sure that's possible? i thought closed bnet chars are stored directly on blizz servers and could not be accessed offline w/o hacks. perhaps are u talking about open bnet?

What exactly are you asking?

You can, obviously, make a copy of a bnet character into SP/open-bnet by just entering all the info into a character editor, so that's not an issue.

When the previous ladder was reset, Blizzard moved all the ladder characters to non-ladder, and there is no reason to assume things will be handled differently when the current ladder is reset.

So, which of the two parts are you having problems with?

Then where do you think the ladder-only items are from that are available on non-ladder? These were brought along with the Ex-ladder characters when they dropped into non-ladder... and as I said, there is no indication that it will be handled differently when the current ladder is reset.

As of now, ladder is designed for playing, and non-ladder collects the trash (which is why I'm no longer interested in Ex-ladder characters).
