"players 8" gone?

"players 8" gone?

I used to play 1.09 a lot, and leveling fast with the "players 8" command in hell act.5 Bloody Fields was the big thing. I haven't played 1.10 much but my warcry frenzybarb resenently got Atmas from Hell Meph, and I wanted to try it with "players 8" again. It didn't work. Is it removed in 1.10?

By the way. Where do you level these days? I myself prefer River of flame. God exp., easy killing, and I never die there (but I never enter Chaos Sanctuary while leveling!).

Single player and MP off realms TCP-IP.

And its either "/players 8" or "/players8" the space is irrelevent.

heyah...bit of a noob but how do u actually activate 8 player in single-player? i thought u had to be on the net (or some other multiplayer) to do that.

it's easier than you can sneeze :lol:.

just type /players 8 on the mssg screen and the game will confirm it if done correctly. beware though. it gets hard.

And the /players# setting remains when you save & exit! If you start a new game without typing /players1 or quitting Diablo the new game will have the higher difficulty level. It's quite a rude surprise if you aren't ready for it!

Players8 rocks

I tried it with my lvl 87 warcry frenzier assisted by my might merc in the river of flame. My merc has a nice weapon (eth.Bonehew) but my own swords sucks (Headstriker and Atlantian). The clue was to use Atmas (Amp dmg is really nice on high HP-monsters). It went surprisingly fast, safe and easy. I made about 40 mill. exp.pts pr.our. Pretty good IMO.
