i have put the cheat in but how do i know if its worked i dont seem to be getting more exp its says (players set to 8) is that correct? thanks in advance

You have to be more elaborate with your question. First of all: cheats, hacks and whatnot are not allowed to be discussed here. But if my guess is right, you're talking about the multiplayer simulation on SP. It's no cheat, but a game feature. You will notice that it works if it takes longer to kill monsters.

if the message pops up that says "players set to 8" then it worked.

If you're talking about the "Players X" command, then this is not a cheat. Also it does not work in Closed Realm games, only Single Player and Open/Tcp/Icp.
