    Pit Runners

Question for you pit runners out there: Do you clear the whole pit, every mob? Or do you go mainly for the boss/champion packs and ignore the alcoves of hordes of normal fallen and such?

I go in one direction and if I get to lvl2 quicker than I thought I still go back out and finish off the rest. I think I've got maybe 2 uniques in lvl2 and the best thing I've got from the chest is a scroll of town portal.

    Clear everything.

Clear it, in pit2 I try to take out the shamens first. Witch means running in and out of mobs of monsters. It took me some time to get the hang of that. I started out dieing alot. After some time I started seeing openings.

Definitely kill everything if u can. all monsters, champs or norm, have a good chance of dropping some nice stuff. I found my tal's armor from a normal rogue scout.

The pits are an area in the (correct me if im wrong) tamoe highlands in act 1. The monsters in that area are all the same level as Baal and therefore can drop some pretty good ish.

I used to be one of the people that never found anything in the pit, but I kept doing the runs because they were good for exp. I think lack mf equipment may have been a large part of my problem. I've got ~450 mf for pit runs and find good stuff from time to time. Luck plays a part too, just because a monster can drop anything in the game doesn't mean that it will that run. If you run the pits enough times you will find something. I can do 5 or 10 runs and find nothing but blues, crappy rares and uniques and then all of sudden an uber item will drop.

today I found a Frostwind, a Halaberds Reign, and a Windhammer in the pits. Frostwind isn't bad, it's a bummer that I'm finding all this barb stuff...I have no barbs.

Definately go for every monster. You reward will be nice amounts of exp and of course, every time you have the chance of that amazing item dropping when you least expect it.
