Anja closed the portal to Nihli (i killed him) Can she open the gate again (it saves time for pindel runs)

Or was i to quick in killing nihli.

The key that Anya closes the red portal is the halls of pain way point, not killing nith.
Also if you have activated the halls of pain way point, there is no way to open that red portal again.

The portal closes when you have done the quest AND gotten the waypoint in level 2.

Once you have done both there is no way back - the portal won't open in games made by that character.

Just do Nihli runs instead :smiley:

Anya does not close the portal when you kill Nihlathak. The portal closes when you get the WP to the Halls of Anguish. You can kill Nihlathak over and over without activating the WP, and Anya's portal will open.
As far as I know, there is no way to re-open the portal. You have to use the WP and move up to the temple.

Which really sucks. A lot of times, the loading screen allows Pindle and his little buddies a couple of seconds of free-wailing-on-your-char time, which can range from annoying (nicely equipped Hammerdin) to deadly (mediocre MF sorc). Which is why you are kinda boned...kinda...
