    Phobias

dont know if i spelled it right.

Do you have any specific phobias?, any rare or common?, and why you think have that certain phobia?,

I had a phobia once ive overcomed it mostly recently but feels like its still there, i was really scared of flying, and i mean really scared, an tiny inch of turbulence would almost made me scream and ask someone if it was something wrong, if i was going to fly the only thing i could think about the week before was if the plain would crash.

I guess ive watched to many movies that include plain crashes, i also do watch discovery channel a lot, many documenturies about plain crashes there,

But most likely its the tought of beeing about 38,000 feet up in the air in a machine that ways quite many tons

I cant stand spiders of a certain size. Little ones like money spiders are fine, also massive ones like Tarantulars are ok. It's just the house spiders you get in the bath I can't stand. :scared: No idea why. An unreasonable fear really as they can't harm me.

It does make me laugh that some people are scared of certain things though. Like people living in England that are scared of Snakes. I mean how much are you likely to bump into a snake in England.

    scared of heights,

you're most definately not doing me a favor by taking me into a ferris wheel, I start sweating, stare at some fixed point, like the opposite chair, and grab on tightly to anything inside untill I get down again. The really bad thing about ferris wheels is that they take sooooo damn long to end :bonk:

    I don't fear falling from heights, it's the landing I can't stand.

Acrophobia. Heights scare me but only if I'm exposed to the open air (planes, skyscrapers don't bother me...roller coasters and observation towers do).

Ditto. I mean, I can be on the roof of a house or something, but you get me near the edge and I go nuts. I hate hate hate being on rollercoasters becuase of heights. Whenever I go to hotels or places that have open courtyards, and I am anywhere but the first or second floors, I steer well clear of the banisters and railings and stick closer to the walls. I simply cant bring myself to look over, and If I do, I am white-knuckling the raling/restraintive device the whole time.

But, I love to fly and I actully like to do the rock-wall climbing type of things. As long as I am in something (building, plane, etc) I am fine, but if I have air around me, I am done. Yea... other than that im not too bad.

My friend is the same way, except he is still afraid of them. One time I forgot that and I started humming the "circus theme" and he almost tried to kill me :p Some of my friends would put pictures of clowns in his locker in HS just to freak him out. It was a great time ;)

It’s best we get to the bottom of this. Were you ever attacked or touched in inappropriate ways by an observation tower? Its ok, you can tell me.

As for me, I’m the same as KnightFall. Death to spiders.

I forgot about my fear of heights before. How the hell did I do that? Well maybe as it's not as bad as it used to be.

I am fine when really high up, like walking over bridges or flying, but I hate ladders and things like that.

I had a reoccurring dream that a very large lady was sitting on my head and I was saved just before dying, to this day I give very large women a wide birth so maybe I have a large lady sitting on my head phobia. Otherwise nothing.

Yeah, how does chin fear work? You just see somebody and you're like "OMG a chin!" and hurl yourself into traffic?

Next we'll have therapy for people who are afraid of existing. "I exist, therefore I... AAAAHHHH!"

Deep water. I'm fine on a cruise ship, because I'm surrounded by a stable environment. But aquariums and the deep end of a swimming pool (one that has diving boards) freak me out. I'm on edge the whole time, and can't wait to get the hell away from there.
