Pennsylvania: worst radio stations in the union

Today I drove from South Jersey to Northeastern Ohio, via I-80, all the way through Pennsylvania.

The radio was just this side of torture. Nothing but backwoods blue grass and bad country music.

I'm glad the day is almost over...

I only listen to 95.7, which is classic rock music. It doesn't go much further west of Philly than about 30ish miles, not sure how much north and south, but I'm assuming it's about a 30 mile radius.

While you are in NE Ohio..give WNIR a whirl. Its talk radio and the one host Howie Chizik (sp??) is so funny. Not meant to be humorous but funny none the less. You can also listen to Bob Golic there if you are so inclined.

Thanks for the tips, zodiac. I will give these radio stations a try while I'm here for the week.

I'll give that a try while I'm at school... I'm not sure that I'll get it, but I might.

It's what you get for leaving yourself at the mercy of the local populace. Myself, I prefer the noise that is car machine and speed.

100.3 The Buzzard is the best. Period. I pity you that don't recieve it.

Seriously, though, satellite would be the best option if you are driving a long way and wish to have the radio. However, poor people like me can't afford that, so we use this old-fashioned thing called a "CD". Music that I want to hear, without stupid commercials for local car lots.

There's only one way to enjoy driving through Pennsylvania. Open the windows and open your eyes. PA in the fall is gorgeous. Especially the western, hilly part.

Unfortunately, most of the leaves have fallen, and the majority of my trip was in the dark. Plus it was below 40 degrees.

You should have left sooner. :p Yeah, had it been about a month ago, it would have been absolutely gorgeous. If it's 40 degrees, then just give your windows a good washing at the next gas station.

Your car radio has a CD player? What's it like to be that rich?
Well, my ultra-rich uncle left me some money, so I was able to buy a CD player and a Mountain Dew. Sweet, huh?
