    PC lag at diablo, fix?

Hey, everytime I summon Diablo and I go near (so it's on my screen) his spawn area (the devil design in the middle) I slow down, a lot. Like my frames drop down a ton, as soon as I lure him away from the middle it's fine but... Anyone have this and found a fix? My comps good enough that this shouldn't be happening at all.

That seems to be a graphics issue. I had a similar problem with my old computer when the dome of Jerhyn's palace was shown. The solution was to switch off perspective in the graphics settings.

It also happens after killing duriel, when I go to see Tyreal (it's like the laval surrounding tyreal and diablo makes me lag for some reason).

Do you run on direct3d or direct2d? You can see this in videosettings for Diablo (outside the game). On newer systems it is usually advised to use direct2d for better speed (you loose some special effects I believe, but it is not so bad).

I'll try swapping to d2d after work.
