    After a 5+ year hiatus, I finished some 1.12b character thanks to a perfect Mara's and finally getting the runes to make Call to Arms. Fans_Notes was inspired by StanTheMan, SirPoopsAlot's 1.07 Death CB Zealot. I went for 50% DR, max Fire/Light resists, and went P8/P8/P5 through the acts. Multiple deaths in Hell A2 led me to hold up until Meph dropped an Ohm for CtA, and then it was off to the races again. Chaos Sanctuary and IM killed me a few times, but I ran around enough to get a new curse from the OKs and thwackthwackthwackthwackthwack'd my way through. All act bosses were easier to kill than undead champs, thanks to LoH, 85% CB, 50%+ DS. I think Baal and Diablo had less than 10 attack cycles between the two of them.

    Leveling was the usual 6x Hel Maul to Death's Gloves/Belt to 1.07 Ravenclaw to Kuko w/Shael to "Oath" in a 1.07 eth Balrog Blade. The difference between Oath and Death in eth 1.07 swords isn't a big deal until you get to heavy PIs in Hell where CB makes a real difference.

    The merc armor is a poor man's Treachery, since my 2 versions are on other questing toons. It does just fine and is a slight quality of life improvement because I never have to squint to find a Fade'd mercenary. His sole purpose was to get Decrepify up as soon as possible, and did that just fine.

    I didn't feel like I needed more ML or LL, as the sword does such incredible damage. With 2000+ life after Battle Orders, the only time needed a potion was after a crazy elemental hit requiring a Full Rejuv. Mana burn was not even an irritation, as opposed to every other melee Paladin I've played. AR showed 80%+ to hit Hell Baal with damage topped out at nearly 11k on the LCS. Grabbing a combat shrine inevitably lead to getting cursed until I found one in the Chaos Sanctuary:rolleyes:, boosting me to 14k damage and 23k AR. The play was quite fun, as blasting through Hell at P5 after struggling for years at P1 made me feel like a big man.

    Future plans may be P5 Baal runs, but I like making new characters too much to leave my only Mara's and CtA on a finished toon.

    Nice pat. I'm currently making a Berserker with Death in a 1.14 base; I see that your weapon damage is a bit higher (as expected), but your LCS damage is a little lower. It looks like you have a 6-frame zeal; did you consider trying to get more IAS to take that down to 5? Either way I assume your DPS is higher than mine, but it would be fun to see what damage numbers you could get using that sword on a 2H 'zerker. Any future plans for that fun toy?

    I didn't write down the LCS or take a screenie, so it is from memory. If I did it again (and I can respec him now that I upgraded to 1.14), I would try Treachery over Shaftstop, and a better ring.

    Elric, the Base Vit Necro melee mancer will be wielding it soon. After than, an Avenger and a Zerker and a Conc Barb and... that sword took a lot of work prior to the upped rune drops.
