Random musings:

Not having any effective blocking in 1.07 is a pain in the arse (one of many actually) but, other than the many unexplained one hit deaths, the build was relatively easy. The combination of Smite and BH took care of just about everything with a lot of ease. I only came across one PI/MI monster and I run with my tail between my legs. Interestingly, CB seems to work against the PIs in 1.07. I put a few points in Zeal at first just to give me a quick start and it worked well and I didn’t consider them wasted. The point in Prayer was a mistake; it seems to be far less useful in 1.07. The merc was only useful in so far as it divided the incoming attacks. I spent a shipload of money resurrecting him, but money is easy to come by. Dropping a potion on his portrait in another of those pains in the arse I mentioned, about a third of the time I didn’t get there in time and another third I missed the portrait and the potion dropped harmlessly to the ground. It even lead to a few deaths on my part too. I had a few stat points in reserve to use the Griz set if I’d found it, but in the end I simply couldn’t find Griz’s heart (yes, I found all the tc87s) so I finished without using them. In fact I used the same gear for almost the entire second half of the game.

Congrats on the Pat!
I'm always interested to read about the world of 1.07. Any reason you were only at level 75 when made Pat? That seems low(er), so is that another 1.07 thing?

I've been debating with looking into 1.07 builds in the future, but I'm a planner, so I already have too many things planned out and not enough time to do them all!

It's definitely a 1.07 thing, without the players command it is very slow going. My current Necro is in Act 4 NM and is only level 44, I'd normally be about half was through Act 5 Norm at this level in other patches.

Oh wow, didn't realize there was no /players command. My first Mat character in 1.13 I played /players 1 the entire way through because I didn't know any better and it took me until level 85 to finish the game! :D
I've been looking through the 1.07 info and there are some alluring things about it, though!

Ya, 75 is a very high lvl to pat in 1.07 ;)

mid 60s are also reasonable but may even be too high (I think 56-57 after all ancient quests)

Bummer you didn't try to get the armor for longer  Would have been super fancy...

Wow. That's crazy. I hope there is some silver lining, like the experience isn't so nerfed at higher levels. Much respect to you 1.07ers!

there is no exp nerf at higher lvls :D

My barb reached 93 recently at council and it will only take a few more runs compared to previous levels to gain the next, rather than the approximate doubling of total runs needed in later versions
