Patch 2.4 PTR Focused Feedback

[caption id="attachment_386548" align="alignright" width="350"] Greyhollow Island[/caption]Blizzard has posted several forum threads asking for focused feedback on specific aspects of the new content in Patch 2.4. The posts are interesting reads even if you don't have time for the PTR, and there's a lot of useful info in the replies, as players discuss early bugs and other issues.

The focused feedback threads ask for comments on Set Dungeons, Item Sets, new Monsters, and UI improvements. Here's a quote from that last topic:

Buff Bar UI

This Focused Feedback thread is dedicated to revisions made to the Buff Bar and user interface. Several changes have been made to the user interface, as detailed in our PTR Preview here. Many buffs have been removed from the traditional buff bar area and either have indicators on the action bar, have been moved to the new buff holder icon, or removed entirely.

Here are a few baseline questions to get you started:

  • Are there any buffs that are showing up on the buff bar currently that you would rather have hidden in the buff holder?
  • Is there a point during regular game play where you feel you are missing important information?

Set Dungeons

This Focused Feedback thread is dedicated to Set Dungeons. Set Dungeons are a new feature that challenges players who have completed their six piece sets and wish to pursue total mastery of their game play. There is one set dungeon for each class set in the game, totaling 24 unique dungeons.

For more information on Set Dungeons, please see the Patch 2.4.0 PTR Preview. If you are reporting a bug with a Set Dungeon, please visit our Set Dungeon Bug Report thread here.

A few details to keep in mind with Set Dungeons:

  • These are intended to be very difficult!
    • However, there certainly may be bugs or design decisions making these challenges more difficult than intended. This is the kind of feedback we're looking for - tell us what makes it hard and what struggles you are encountering.

  • Tackle as many Set Dungeons as you can! We'd love to know things like how easy/hard they feel to discover, complete, and master. Being able to compare between different Set Dungeons may be helpful to your feedback.
  • Make sure you try each Set Dungeon you attempt multiple times, and try changing your build around. You may need to think outside the box, lower your damage, raise your toughness, or tweak your build in other creative ways to accomplish your goals.

Here are a few baseline questions to get you started:

  • What is the name of the Set Dungeon you are testing?
    • How difficult was it to find the Set Dungeon based on the clue you received?
    • Do you feel this dungeon was too easy or too hard? Why?
    • Which objectives did you complete? [Basic] or [Mastery]?
    • Which objectives did you find too difficult to complete?
      • What made them too difficult?

    • Do the challenges in this Set Dungeon feel appropriate for the respective set?
      • Please provide a link to your profile or build
      • If you're using items you found on PTR, consider using a site like D3 Planner to plot out your character
      • If you are using an item that is new on PTR, please let us know!

      • Inna's Mantra

    • Witch Doctor
      • Raiment of the Jade Harvester

      • Firebird's Finery

Here are a few baseline questions to get you started:

  • What do you like the most?
  • What do you like the least?
  • How do you feel about the playstyle provided when this set is fully equipped?
  • What approximate power level are you able to achieve with this set? (such as highest Greater Rift reached, Torment difficulty played, etc.)
    • Do you feel that the power of this set compares with other sets for your class? Why or why not?

  • Do you have any additional comments?

Monsters on Greyhollow Island

This Focused Feedback thread is dedicated to revisions made to monsters in Patch 2.4.0, as well as newly added monsters that can be found in Greyhollow Island. For more information on Greyhollow Island, you can check out our Patch 2.4.0 PTR Preview here.

Here are a few baseline questions to get you started:

  • Do any of the new monsters found in Greyhollow Island feel too difficult?
  • Are there any monsters in Nephalem or Greater Rifts that feel too hard?
    • Did the type of zone they were in or accompanying enemies play a part in their difficulty?

Would be nice, if you or someone other (Nobbie?) could get an analyzation of the testing process written out in article form. Am too busy otherwise to delve into such Analysis myself, at the moment.

Thx Flux. And keep up the good work :)
