It really doesnt matter if people moved old ladder gear to new as eventually it was going to be found and dupped anyway. Frankly I am please that we just dont have these long as lines.

This ladder season was already screwed and if you didnt know that before last night you are blind. The cheater is setup to win and it is pathetic, now we just have more cheaters in the position to challene the current leading cheaters. Frankly even though not much but shorter game lines helped the leigit but it frankly lvled the playing feidl a bit for those that are willing to take advantage of things.

Personally in my case, I got this RD that was LONG finally got on and my characters were non-ladder, made a game and left got another LONG RD and when that finally cleared I was back to being a ladder character again. So in my exp i dont think I could of made an item move unless I did it immediately but I didnt think about it anyway.


Regardless, if you ppl want to accuse us of screwing up this ladder you poitn the finger at the wrong ppl, if you want to accuse us of anything than accuse us of getting BLizz to do SOMETHING.

BTW, I sent them a thank you for doing SOMETHING regardless of wether it was the focus of the e-mail it was part of it.

I have no idea, or claim that we the e-mailers made them do anything, hell it could of been planned. For what ever it is worth things did sort of fall in line and make it look like we were and influence.

Perhaps now that most folks (and you) have the nice items back, it will satisfy their (and your) urge to cheat and wreck the realm further with a 3rd party program.

My urge to cheat? lmao, how is it "cheating"? And where did I say I use/support the use of 3rd party programs??? Don't put words in my mouth, I can be the nicest guy you ever met but once you start suggesting I did this or do that and putting words in my mouth I can get real ugly real fast. I took advantage of blizzard's MISTAKES and simply geared my characters up and stuck my best gear on my characters for the slight chance the gear would actually come with me to the ladder, and I was honestly shocked when it did, but I don't see how this makes me a cheater? Anyways I rather enjoy posting/reading at the DII.net forums so im just gonna drop this, because its not worth my breathe(fingers?) to get upset over.

Lol why is the ladder screwed? Its perfectly fine.

Nothing wrong with it just do your thing and play.

And in duel scene i only see some people with botd and i won them all with my zerker rofl. (they got no skills 99% of the time)

In every disadvantage is a advantage just do loot duels with rich noobs haha.

I myself got lots of high level runes onto the ladder (among other things), while others I personally saw with my own eyes got items such as Doom's, CoH's

OK i have to dispute this claim. After checking the thread on the front page it refers to a noted hack / bot website. So i check it out , they have over 80k registered users in the data base ( ok this number can be fudged ) and last night at the time the ladder/non ladder happened there were almost 600 users on their forum. To boot a vast majority of the users also chat via an IRC channel hosted by that site. So dont you think that a good portion of those users took advantage of it? 15 minutes is a long time when you think you can dump an entire character in about 15 seconds

True enough, I suppose (I'll cheerfully take your word for it). But the reason people bot, after all, is so that they don't have to play. Chances are the vast majority of those 80K players were nowhere near their computers when the switch happened, and didn't have an opportunity to take advantage.

Anyway, it's disappointing to hear that it was even that widespread. But I'd bet that chances of a rollback to the pre-bot-fix hour are pretty good, and that Will and all the others who took it upon themselves to purposefully screw up the realms (Will admits he made the decision to transfer his gear, knowing full well what the implications were), will not benefit from their actions.

Also, I'd just like to agree with Stinger real quick: I doubt our little campaign was even considered in Blizzard's decision to deal with the botters. After all, they did nothing about TPPK, god mode, and other hacks that were the primary concern we voiced (and remain, of course, a huge problem). My title for this thread was meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

Hell, at least somehting changed that improves my game play. I doubt seriously it screwed much up getting items on the ladder as that part is already screwed.

Like I said, I dont know if it was a result of our atempts, but the action sure happened during the attempts as i didnt stop sending at least 4-5 sets a day until today. So far today they got a thank you letter and I will leave them alone.

Now on Monday if nothing else changes I may start hitting them again......hell might do it sooner, just depends on how I feel and how much time i got to kill.

you took non-ladder items, which in most cases are better then ladder items becuase you had more time/mf. Not only that, you tood advantage of a mistake which causes you to be 'better'. You didnt find or even trade those on the ladder.

Thanks to eforff2 for the summation, and like everyone else he's hoping Bliz can effect a short rollback to erase all of the non-ladder dupe items that have now tainted the ladder economy. Discuss this here.

The ladder was screwed from the first day I dont see how this little 15 min xfer of items really had a hughe impact. Bots and MH have ran from day one where last seaon it took a good month or two before people wer confident to run those very much accross the whole community. It took a few months to get things dupped and in the public last season, and from what i understand they have had a working dupe going since almsot day one of this season. It was simply only a matter of time before it was full of enigmas and BotDs anyway.

The main thing is it isnt so aggrevating trying to start a game.
