    OT: Your cheesy top-3

From a discussion in the bar, as happens so often, a really weird thread is born:
    The cheesy top-3 thread

The title is self-explanatory, and a reasoning behind your list is welcomed.

    here's mine:
1)bleu d'Auvergne just the right amount of kick in a fairly mild blue cheese

    2) St nectaire: mildly smelly, but very flavourfull

    3) Gouda, because I'm Dutch

    lol?

Uhm, I don't know of any chese, but sometimes when I get bored of pepperoni pizza, I order the "triple cheese" flavour option. I suppose whatever those three are.

    - gimme a nice bleu
    - gimme a nice creamy havarti with a ton of chili pepper flakes in it
    - a nice, really old cheddar.

Not really an enthusiast like my friend who spends hundreds of dollars quite often buying limited run artisan cheeses. :goofy:

HAHAHA I love you somethingsin!! My list gotta be pretty much like pancakeman's ;) just I'd switch out the #3 för something else =)

Edit: Mozarella suits pizza best, so I'll put mozarella on 3'rd and on spot 2, or maybe 1 , haloumi, or how its spelled

    2. Fontina
    3. Parmigiano Reggiano (Real parmesan, not that fake stuff in a jar/can)

Agreed. I don't even think the stuff in a can really qualifies as 'cheese' - wouldn't that be more applicable to 'my favourite processed, cultured, dairy byproduct thread'?

    1. Jalapeno-Jack
    2. Parmigiano Reggiano
    3. Meunster

However, sticking with the OT nature of this thread, here's some more of my least favourite cheeses (1 = most hated, 2 = next up, etc.):

    1. 80's Hair-band music.
    2. Moving items from SC to HC
    3. Bleu cheese - I'm sorry if you're a fan, but it smells a lot like my fathers' feet (and if I had to imagine what Dad's feet taste like, I'm guessing the similarities may not end at the scent).

    QFT!

    Top 3:
    1. Pepperjack.
    2. Sharp Cheddar (but not too sharp! We sell this one that made me pucker!)
    3. Feta with Sundried Tomato and Basil, but only as long as it's in a wrap with hummus, tabouli, black olives, and sliced cucumber.

    Bottom 3:
    1. Nasty processed american cheese food product.
    2. Bleu cheese (sorry lovers, it just smells too bad to me!)
    3. Hammerdin :badteeth:

Probably Mozzarella, Parmesan, Provolone, depending on the restaurant.

    Top 3:
    1. Brie, as discovered 3 years ago
    2. String, cause how can you not like playing with your food
    3. Cream Cheese, especially with some radishes on toast.

I think the only reason I like a smelly blue cheese is because if you do it right it's awesome with spicy chicken wings!!!

I happen to think that, if you do the spicy chicken wings right, they are fine on their own with no extra dressings.

And I make a mighty fine chicken wing if I do say so myself.

I agree with that ... it's just that back in the day when I used to do wings all the time my buddy would treat me like his pet project and try to get me to increase my heat tolerance every time we went out for wings.

Thus, one place we went to quite often had a really nice in-house blue cheese sauce stuffed with real stinky cheese for the hot, hot wings. It really soothed the heat as carbs and fats tone down the capsacin (the stuff that make peppers hot) and it tasted great.

    1. Swiss.

    2. Cheddar cheese. Sharp. Like, so sharp, it cuts the knife, and not vice versa.

    3. Parmesan.

Honorable mentions to Gouda, Brie, goat cheese and paneer.
