OT: windows mode / win2000

I just changed my os to win2000 (only one I had available -_-). I used win98 before, and ran diablo in windows mode. Apparently, the same command doesn't work with win 2000 (the "-w" after the path). Anyone know how to do this in win2000? I hate big screens -__-

I'm using w2000 pro SP4 myself, and the -w works. I can't recall in the previous SP's, maybe you have to update it?

Ok, I figured it out.

When you right click on the shortcut --> Properties, the target DiabloII.exe should be in quotes. Add the -w after the quotes, like this:

"C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -w

If that doesn't work, then I dunno.

Meh it's a little too small for me, I tried it for a while when dueling and a lot of times my mouse would move off the screen and minimize. It was a pain, although it looks much better in a window.

My games doesn't crash as often in windows mode.

Fallen: That was the path I used for win98. It doesn't work now. I don't know why.

Cerberus, the lower resolution in Windows the bigger the D2-window will be.
Just set Windows to something low like 1024x768 or even 800x600 when playing D2.
