Its going well :)

Currently doing this split, but my cardio is going up soon and I have 4 full days off next week for my exams.

M: Chest/Shoulders/Triceps
T: Spin/core/calves
W: Legs/barbell complex
T: Back/Chest
F: Rest
S: Intense cardio followed by some medium intensity leg work
S: Back/Biceps/Traps/Calves
Various cardio interspersed throughout, primarily incline sprints and 1km rowing sprints.

My back is much better :)

My cutting phase will probably end a month or so after TM, at which point I'm going to go on a leanish bulk. Depending what my physio says at my remedial on the 15th, I may start doing weekly tyre flips.

Training is going awesome!

I aced my chemistry exam today and ordered some New Balance Minimus running shoes, excited :D

I also beat our main trainer in a tyre flipping race at the weekend, which was interesting :p. Gym night out soon too.

My back is getting much better and its strength is very slowly coming back :)

I've also added power cleans to my routine which you can see in the video below, in which my form is absolutely ****. It isn't the easiest to get to grips with form on :( Also, I normally only record compound movements to check form, so I've no idea why I have a bicep curl video on my phone lol

Edit: Apparently you can't embed videos from PB, so I've just linked them...

So, TM is on the 15th :D

This week is surprisingly calm as I'm on a reduced regime and I got to my Dad's for two weeks on the 17th. I edited the main page because I had written 7 miles when it is actually 13^^

Thanks again to everybody who donated, I really appreciate it especially as none of you have even met me before. My back is 'back' (giggle) to normal and has been for a while, so no problems there.

The best news of all is that it looks like I'll get my first competitive event space next year :loving:

Money Raised: £164

So, quick update...

Slight incident whilst training today...

Just about injured myself 3 days out from TM...

...but I'm fine :p

My current mile time is 7:30 at a 3% incline, I went for a repeat run of it and somehow (not entirely sure what happened) I was 0.05 miles away from the mile mark, and I came off the treadmill^^ Thankfully, I've been doing a shit lot of jump rope working recently, switching every 10 seconds between unders, double unders, one footers and double one footers. So, I managed not to go flying into the wall behind me :) Yey!

Advice for you all, don't try and match your mile time two days out from a race...

I wish I could get up there but unfortunately work is in Plymouth.

I wish you the best of luck.

You've come a long way over the past few years. Well done.

Thanks Thyiad, appreciate it :)

We finished in 2 hours and 30 minutes. I led the pack with Euan and definitely could have recorded a significantly better time if it had just been me, him and another lad. A great day though, and doing it as a team was fun anyway! People really overcame some fears :) We also got interviewed for the official event video which is cool!

Photos to follow.
