OT: Summer plans?

Hey y'all,
What's everyone's plans for this summer? Curious to see how everyone will balance D2 and so-called "real life" during this season when most people have the most free time.

I'll be working two part-time jobs at school to try to make up for a lot of over-zealous spending this past year. Also, hopefully it'll give me enough in savings to begin investing in conservative stocks (even the most conservative stock pays better than my bank's savings account). The highlights will likely take place at the beginning and at the end: in a couple weeks i'm going to a beach house in north carolina to spend some quality time with my girlfriend and some friends i won't see again for a while (we're all graduating from university). Should be a good time, as long as we can find enough food to eat

In the middle i'll juggling aforementioned jobs as well as trying to teach myself stuff about computer software security (my intended focus in grad school), plus club ultimate. I hope to get my first D2 Matriarch as well <fingers crossed>

At the end of the summer i'll be going home to attend my best friend's wedding. I've known this dude since 5th grade (just a year after my family moved from Taiwan to here). And he's asked me to be his best man, so i'm obligated on multiple levels to attend this event. It's gonna be awesome

I will have a very long holiday this year. 3½ months to be exact.

First of all I´m going to practice on the drumkit. I´ve made plans to practice 3 hours each day. Besides that, I´m going to play some gigs during the summer. (weddings, carnival that sort of thing). I also have a gig in London where I have entered a competition for steelpan music.

Don´t know if I´ll be playing much DII but you never know.

And of course, I will be going to koncerts, to the cinema and basically just enjoy my holidays.

I´m also gonna drink a lot of BEER! :drink:

continue the quest for real full-time employment. my current PT gig is no longer enough to pay the bills.

I do have a couple of possible film gigs lined up though. Hopefully those plus some others will come through.

In June, my partner's little sister will be visiting for a month from Sweden, so we have to do all the typical SoCal touristy things like Disneyland, Universal Studies, Wild Animal Park, Sea World, etc. and I have to remember to get dressed before leaving the bedroom.

Well this summer I won't be playing d2 at all. I will be taking a little break from the SPF.

I'm going to be working on a camp up in Northern Ontario, so I won't have the access to the computers, nor the time. But I'll be back :lol:

My summer will consist of find a job, and then finding an apartment. Woo, fun!

Well, at the end of May I'm traveling back to montreal to visit some friends, but that's it for big plans of any kind. the job search is going to have to take precendence.

I'm feeling very in the minority, as the main breadwinner in my family, I work 40-50 hours a week, year round. Since it is a real estate / new construction company, summer is our busiest season. I don't expect to have much D2 time in the upcoming months.

I gotta find a real job for the summer so I can buy some things for school. I have to schedule a meeting with financial aid tomorrow now that I have recieved my conformation of readmission letter from school. I just hope I can find a way to pay for it this year. Another year at home and I'll shoot myself.

I want to build a PC from the ground up if I have enough money. I just need to find a reputable parts dealer where I can get the case/board.
