I am really in need of a good Spyware/Adware program since I get tons of popups from my own site where there arent any popups and from other sites aswell. Its really annoying. I have used a few programs but they require me to purchase them before I can delete any files so do anyone of you know a free good spyware/adware program?

I suggest Ad-Aware, Spybot and Spysweaper.

www.lavasoft.de is where to get Adaware, this is the one I use and it seems to work very well

Getting that from Lavasoft now. It have already found like 200 objects . Going to take a look at Spybot and Spysweaper later after this and then I need to get a good virus program. It's not easy when your little brother is downloading cheats from geocities pages for his Counter Strike.

Cheats always bring crap with them, if he doesnt understand that, kick it into his head

200 objects is MASSIVE! After i cleaned up with Ad-Aware, i checked with SpyBot and it found even more.

Yepp. He is a tiny lamer I have told him not to do it since it just brings crap to our computer but he insists that it's not from that, its because I download to many movies from Direct Connect... Stupid little bastard. Anyway, I scanned with both Spybot and the lavasoft Ad-Aware and I think I am relative free from those things now.

I strongly recomend, along with spybot S&D, that you get SpywareBlaster, so you cant d/l them again.
its free, but it cost every bit in gold

perhaps the best solution is simply to not visit the sites that use pop ups :idea:

there is no way to eliminate spying if you are online, but being behind a router with a firewall helps.
