    OT: Love Story

A girl and guy were speeding over 100 mph on the road on a motorcycle...
    Girl: Slow down. Im scared.
    Guy: No this is fun.
Girl: No its not. Please, its too scary!
Guy: Then tell me you love me.
Girl: Fine, I love you. Slow down!
Guy: Now give me a BIG hug.
    Girl hugs him
Guy: Can you take my helmet off & put it on yourself? Its bugging me.
In the paper the next day :( A motorcycle had crashed into a building because of brake failure. Two people were on it, but only one had survived.
The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy realized that his brakes broke, but he didn't want to let the girl know. Instead, he had her say she loved him & felt her hug him one last time, then had her wear his helmet so that she would live even though it meant that he would die...

    Touching.... :cloud9:

It's just that, sometimes you will tend to save someone you love than yourself, and willing to give out your life to ensure he or she is save..

Gearing down, applying the front brake sparingly etc. With a fatal crash a helmet doesn't help anyway.

omg do I fell stupid, after reading the story again, NOW I see that they were both on the same bike lol. I thought they were on 2 different ones lmao. I was thinking, "How do you give a hug when you're both on bikes?"

But other than that, very good story.

Lol wtf. I don't know if I should laugh or cry but I know one thing, I'd keep that helmet on and I surely wouldnt have crashed into a building.

    The story is little sad.

But from technial prespective, it doesn't have to be. As far as I know, all proper bikes are "manual" geared, and requires your right hand to controll the fuel supply. Stop the fuel supply, the bike will slow down, or release the gear from engage. Just like car, there are more than one thing you can do to slow it down in case of brake fail (as long as you have enough headroom, and not at down hill).

This is a PERFECT example of the difference between men and women.

Women read that story with their emotions at the surface, just completely heartbroken and amazed at this guy's love. For them it's a story of sacrifice for the one he loves and many women secretly wish they had a guy who would so willing to die for them. Suiling, I apologize but I haven't posted in a while and I assume you are female and this is why you posted this.

Now, I am a husband and a father. I have three little girls between 8 months and 5 years old and I'd gladly lay down in traffic for any of them. BUT....

Men read this story with LOGIC not emotion. First of all, why the &%^# did the girl not have a helmet of her own?! This tells me the story was written by a woman.

If a guy would have written the ending to this story, the driver would have take his hand off the throttle, the bike would have slowed down to a stop and they would have gone off to have sex in the woods or something, excited by the danger of their brush with death.

Women are from Venus, men are from the farm.

I just got home and I was practically salivating over who would be the first person to bring this up  I wanted to be the first to say "Why not just let go of the accelerator and bring it to a gradual stop", but I thought 'Hmm, I wonder how many people are thinking the same thing?'.

Despite any logical... flaws, I think it's a beautiful story.

And all such flaws can be explained! Just like in starwars... okay maybe except for the sound-in-space thing but whatever..

Story? You call that a story? It's a sentence. And a poor one at that.

IMO these kinda "OT" threads should be closed ASAP. There's the DoOL for this kind of nonsense.

All she was trying to do was put forth something she felt as though was inspiring in some sense. Doesn't mean you have to go strike it down. And, she was trying to simply get the message accross, not the details.

i think that maybe this stuff should stay in msn names and myspace. when a "msg" (what msg?, men should die cause woman dont want to wear hair messing helmets?) is so convoluted, all it does is cause people to show all the faults and take nothing away from it but frustration (that it wasnt confined to a chain email titled "pass this on to ten ppl, or there will be fatal bike crashes")
