I just saw a video on the news that made me almost cry. =_(
It showed the fur trading industry in China and it showed a dude pick a german sheperd dog dog that looks like it just hit maturity up by the tail and swing him smackin its head against a wall to kill it for his/her fur. ~ I Cringed~
Showed Raccoon dogs , cats and all sorts of animals in fur trading markets to sell them for slaughter.
It even showed a few wolves in small cages that are goin to be slaughtered! :cry:
I can not begin to describe how much i **:censored: **ing hate mother:censored: people that kill animals like that.
i mean come on pickin up a dog by his tail and smashing his skull WTF , i aint no animal rights activist that gonna poor a bucket of blood on your fur coat but this just took the cake for me and has given me a whole new outlook on animal cruelty and people.

It far worse how they skin seals alive! But anyway, you need to smash it, if you want to save the fur, but swinging it but the tail seems to be a rather cruel way to do so. I don't know, but I could imagine that it would difficult to hold the dog still while you grab your sledgehammer and aim for its head.
On a 2nd note, I also hate most animal rights activists. The American mink is now a common animal in the danish wildlife, overtaking the natural habitats from lots of 'native' types of animals. It turns out, that all the mink they "saved" and set free were ferocious (and very effective) killers. Also, some near by lakes have been completely overtaken by frogs set free from a research lab. About zero 'normal' frogs left, almost every frog are descendants of "saved" frogs, set free by "animal rights activist".
I've never seen anyone try and set 30,000 chickens free from one of those gargantuan farms, just because they're going straight to the slaughterhouse, but when it's furry, cute and cuddly mink or whatever, they seem to have a different opinion about whether it's OK to kill animals or not.
I pity the foo's.

Yah , its a very touchy and complicated situation for the entire Animal rights vs animal cruelty , fur trading etc. There no set standard on where to draw the line on who says who can do what and whats cruel or isnt cruel. But some of the curelty is pretty obvious like the seal killing or pickin a dog up by its tail and smashin his skull.
I just dont like the actual killing of the animals cruely by inhuman ways.
Id like to go deer hunting one of these days but even then you got nimrod people that will fly in planes over antartica and find a wolf ~ Chase it till it gets exhausted then land and shoot the wolf. is that really sport or hunting?

Yeah, it's hard to define what is cruelty and not. You could argue that killing is the worst form of cruelty. I think that if it's not unnecessary pain for the animal, you can kill it in about whatever way you feel like.
I don't really enjoy watching the killing of animals, but I do eat meat about every day of the week and I don't have a problem with it.
