and it was... nearly as good as the old ones. it was great. dont get me wrong with the "nearly as good as..." cause im a devoted fan of the old movies, but this one owned. i dont want to get into too much detail but the emperor palpatine was made a real ****head, and i almost cried when a young padawan, maybe 8 years old, came from hiding behind a chair and asked anakin "there are too many of them, what are we going to do master skywalker?" and anakin slaughters them all...

No, he didn't. I've read the book. The ending is that Anakin Skywalker becaomes Darth Vader. You knew that already. And if you downloaded this movie and watched it, you're a freak. I hate movie piracy. Music piracy though ... lol. If any of you watch this movie, come back here and tell me if you understand "Order 66". !

Yeah..word is out that it is a good movie..about time after the crap that AotC was. Didn't mind PM too much..but that might be just me ^^

 

Firstly , if your going to give up parts of the movie please warn us. Granted it wasnt an integral part but I prefer going to the movies and not knowing any of whats going to happen. Yes I know Anakin becomes Darth Vadar yadda yadda...

Secondly IIRC Ankeli had won a ticket to an advance screening, pretty sure it was him just too lazy to lookup the thread

yes it was one line , but it was a pretty impactive scene. Like I said warn us before giving up info like that.

 

Why is it necessary to assume the worst in people? Just because the movie hasn't opened in your little hamlet, doesn't mean it hasn't been shown elsewhere in the world. A theater in London was showing all six of the Star Wars movies in order yesterday in an all day marathon. Please don't throw accusations around, especially when you don't know what you're talking about.

Thanks a lot. I had assumed that Jar Jar became Darth after a freak boating accident when Jar Jar purposely spit in his own eye out of curiousity. You ruined it for me. Arse. -.-

I waited in line from 8:30 in the morning and luckily i was the first peroson in line. me and my friends waited for five hours to get tickets... and then we waited anothe 12 hours for the movie to actually start. We did all this at the movie theater.. not once did we go home. Well i did once but only to take a poo.. i dont like goin to the bathroom in public places... nasty! anyways we probably waited 17 hours in all for the movie

The part when anikan kills the younglings brought a tear or two to my eyes as well But anyways i have never been a big hardcore starwars fan. I like the movies but it's not like im obsessed over it like many people are. Just think if bush were to ban starwars and startrek we would have the biggest civil war in the history of the world

But anyways my point is that my sole purpose of going to that movie at midnight(the premier) and then go home at 3 in the morning.. and then get up 2 hours later to get ready for school was to see all those starwars geeks with their full darth vader outfits.. and obiwan kinobi outfits. IT WAS HISTERICAL. They all need girlfriends or at least a dog. but the best part was the lightsaber battles after the movie... While waiting for my ride home i guarantee u that almost everyone their with a lightsaber(3/4 of the crowd) was duking it out because of what happened at the end. They were pissed because natalie portman is extremely hot.. So if you are a starwars geek then im sorry if i offended u but get a life.. or get a dog.. girlfriends are the "in" thing now. So i advice u to get one peace out

 

I find it funny how you waited 17 hours to see the movie and then say that the 'star wars geeks' need to get a life and a girlfriend.

Holy crap. My gf picked up two tickets at 1:15 the day it came out (well technically the day before, since it opened at midnight) before she went to work, didn't have to wait in line, only two of the theaters were playing it and the theaters weren't all that full that night. Makes me glad I live in a small town.

50 million the first day :scared:, that's crazy. That's 10x the amount that A New Hope made it's first week WITH the numbers adjusted for inflation.
