OK, this is totally off topic. But I want to post this poll anyways as I seem to get very mixed responses about the song "I believe in a thing called love" by The Darkness. Just curious, but what do you guys and gals think of it?

 

there has been no good music in a good 10 years

can't be comparing everything to Led Zeppelin or you won't be satisfied with anything

 

Try Tool, if you already have, go deeper, they are on so many levels it's unbelievable. Try to go further than the average Joe who says, "yeah sure, I like some of their songs dood!!" as they will all name Sober and Schism when asked which "some of their songs" they're talking about.

 

Zeppelin is great, and so is The Darkness, you gotta love glamrock :thumbsup: !

It's alraight, nothing special to me. Still it's better then a lot on the radio

But toxic rocks, and the music video must be a masterpiece. A blonde and a real kickass song! I'm not making fun here, it is kickass!

 

Take out brittany and put in some old hag and the video would suck.

 

I love 70s rock and 80s metal, but I hate The Darkness. If they tossed the singer for another one, they might be listenable..

 

Ya, but that's because it was built around Brittany. If it was an old hag no one would want to see, but with Brittany...

 

it's just a party song. at least the boys can play their instruments.

The Darkness is pretty cool.

Typically listen to Rob Gee, Lady Dana, DJ Neophyte, etc.

Sigur Ros is funky.

Amon Tobin, Kid Koala, and the rest of the Ninja Tunes crew is always good for a listen.

But..er...yeah. Thing called love. Great vid and song.

You should hear The Darkness' cover of Radiohead's Street Spirit (Fade Out). Unless you're a big fan of Radiohead, in which case you might want to kill yourself. I think it's hilarious and I'm a fan of Radiohead, but a friend I showed it to, who also likes Radiohead, wondered how they could butcher Radiohead's music while they're still alive

 

Ill be seeing em live at St Andrews Hall in Detroit at the end of the month...sold out show i cant wait! The Darkness bring fun back to music, getting reeeal sick of all the whiney daddy didnt hug me crap out now. Did anyone post theyre site link www.thedarknessrock.com Ya gotta see the videos! Watch the "get your hands off my woman" video and tell me it wouldnt be a good show
Oh and for you ppl that dont get it..dont take the music too serious..its funny because its actually good and serious..ya know...but theyre not...its funny, like , a REALLY good knife throwin hammer shock pally...er...

 

:thumbsup: God speed you balc emperor rocks my socks! at the gates is good alos, albiet, quite different. if you like GSYBE, then you shouild take a listen to explosions in the sky. not as epic sounding or grandiose, but along the same path without sounding like a ripoff.
