Yea, no beta players are going to want to see the start of act 1!

It's good that they blamed you, a decision by blizzard that everyone can finally agree on!

at least it is only a very small part of the game, i doubt we will be spending much time there anyway

the monsters are just boring, thats all, i don't want to hack zombies all day, something more interesting and challenging.

Yea, for sure. Zombies and skeletons are rather boring. I do wonder if it will actually be difficult in inferno or if it will be a good easy place to farm or not.

you can make any monster difficult, but not interesting or fun.

for instance just increase run speed, decrease hit recovery time, up damage and health and the number of them, and you're just going to have a horde of zombies forever chasing you that you can't kill before they kill you.

Challenging, well yeah the horde will always beat you, but hardly what you want for good monster design.

That is a good point, I hadn't really thought of it that way. That sounds far less interesting for sure :p

There are more than zombies and skellies. You have imps, those big mangleclaw guys the unburied, bats, dark cultists, scavengers, grotesques, and I am sure I am forgetting some. It's honestly that I have just memorized the tile sets and that bores me lol.

only when I 1st got beta did I play all the chars through. After that I played 1 char through to SK just to see some of the changes.

It's kinda odd, the closer we get to release the more I feel like I don't want to play SC at all. But I never played it once they increased the difficulty.

It's not so much that they increased the difficulty which they did but they also nerfed the drops which makes it harder to be a god like we once were.

That is too bad, but probably for the better. I wasn't exactly looking for a game that I would be instantly amazing at.

I like the recent changes.

Not enough to play more than 10 minutes of the beta at a time, but enough to give me hope that the game is going to be challenging.

I thought it was relatively interesting when I was playing through, might be because I was scared of being hit though so spent a lot of time kiting and using snares. I don't think I lost any health (as a WD) when I played through. I was a little annoyed that the mongrels died a fair bit :D

Yea, I played mostly pretty careful. It's just what I usually do anyways in D2.

I think that is why it felt easy for us D2 (HC) vets, whereas I can imagine someone new to the series would have difficulty.

i think also that scrubs are going to get very caught out by certain monster types, i.e the slow charge up and swing ones.

They will be use to hacking everything then get hit twice and die and be like wtf? wereas D2 players have a fierce aversion to some monsters and effects, ala iron maiden in chaos sanctuary
