That pretty much satisfies my curiosity... Ok, perhaps my curiosity is unsatisfiable, but it's as much as I hoped for :wink3:

Just remember the rock thing, "strengh" results in brittleness, where as flexabiliy means higher durability. o/c, my cookies are just soft and gooey, so they aren't either, but that's all to the good.

Me, I don't agree with gerneralities, I've seen pleanty of cold hearted men. and women who could make rocks weep.

@Ana-grats on the relationship....the absolute best is when your in that state where your so excited to be in love...everything is new and fresh and wonderful..and you can only think about the other person. Enjoy it! Its a great feeling. BTW may I ask your age?

@Kaysaar-I am part plains Indian heheh, albeit very small amount, but I grew up with a father who has a Masters in history and who specializes in military history. Hes the one who initially brought up the question and I thought Id bring it here. So I know a decent amount about them. The reason why I brought up the questions was because essentially I was undecided. Heres why...the scenerio is a 1 on 1 combat, be it in the plains or the steppes because they are pretty similar over all. The plains indians specialized in 1 on 1 combat. For essentially thousands of years they spent thier entire lives at war with neighboring tribes and those who showed themselves to be good in 1 on 1 combat were honored. They would go out of thier way to engage in 1 on 1 combat during warfare. The Mongols however were not used to 1 on 1 combat at but fought in large groups. Furthermore, the Indians were engaged in warfare far more often than the Mongols. While the Mongols were united occasionally under 1 banner or squabbled amongst themselves they were often at peace. The plains Indians (I should say at least certain tribes) grew up in a constant state of war. Their horses were much larger and more powerful than the smaller horses used by the Mongols. As far as horse control the Indians were definately a match for the Mongols. The plains Indians were know to ride on the side of thier horses and fire from below the horse with great accuracy. In terms of armor the Indians were definately lacking...there is no doubt about that. So just a little history. Tough for me to call out a victor although it seems like the Mongol is the favorite in the thread by far. hehe.

@corax, muzz- i think the 3rd one can be played with 1-4 players. I havent checked it out yet but I own it. Cor, the diamond NWN edition can be bought for like $20, and it contains all the expansions and then some. Maybe we can figure out an MP thing. Seems fun.

@Arreat-hope things go well with your lady. It seems from your post that something maybe bothering the two of you. Hope it gets sorted out. Let us know how it goes.

Ronin - I think that the training in one on one combat is less of a factor than you may think. If you look to the Zulu Wars in South Africa, the Zulu warriors spent their entire lives training with the Assegai spears and shields. However, whenever they came up against a British regular soldier, they almost always lost. The biggest problem came from the professional discipline of the British soldiers.

I think that the Mongols also had this advantage. By the end of the Mongol invasions, the Mongol soldiers accumulated a great deal of experience fighting different enemies, in various methods of combat. However, while the Plains Indians varied from tribe to tribe, their fighting styles would have left them as experts in one on one combat within their own cultures. For instance, the Indians had adapted greatly to fighting a quick foe that could be felled with aone or two blows. However, the Mongols had grown accustomed to fighting both fast and slow opponents due to their in-fighting and their experiences in Europe. The Indian would need to adapt very quickly to the quick foe that also had much greater protection than his normal foes.

What happened Reb?

And a certain amount of jealousy is normal in a relationship, especially during your first, and especially when it's a fledgling relationship. I feel a certain amount of jealousy everytime my girl talks about spending time with her parents in Washington D.C., and this is her family, not another guy or anything. For me, it's simply because they get to see her so much more often during the school year. It's petty and silly, but it still bothers me and makes me feel jealous.

The biggest thing you have to remember is to not let it consume you. It sucks and it's awful, but you have to be rational about it. Even when my girl went to an archery tournament with a whole bunch of guys from her team, I was jealous, but I also trust her, and I know that I'll see her soon.

Nothing happened, but I don't want to destroy anything with it. I trust her, but I'm always so jealous when she talks about other boys for example. But I trust her and she assured me that she only wants me. She also thinks that it's important that I'm jealous and that she thinks it's cute, if it doesn't get too much. So there actually isn't a reason to worry...

I miss her so much. I might drive to her by bike in an hour or two. My mother actually wanted me to stay at home and do my homework today because I have been with Sina the last two days. But now I don't really have much homework to do, so I could spent more time with my beloved... :cloud9:

ask if she ever gets jealous, even just a little. I'll bet she does, a little. and don't shun your school work, you could always tell your mom you'r going over to her house to "study" *snicker*

Yes, she almost gets as jealous as me, when she gets to know something about the girls I have to do with at school and so on. But I need to learn to control my feelings, which is sometimes hard...
I was with her yesterday and now I somehow miss her more than ever. Tomorrow I will go home after school and have a driving lesson then. In the end I will drive to Sina to be with her and then we'll catch my PC drive to a LAN party. Then the world will probably be great again! But atm I just miss her... so much... :sad2:
Oh and yes. I told my mother that I did my homework with Sina. Although she doensn't believe me I REALLY did. She wanted me to stay home today, but now I didn't really have anything to do for school... or not really much. Ah however... I keep worrying too much.
