Good Stuff R2K!

On a side note... I learned my grandfather died last night. They're not really sure when he died, but they found his body yesterday. We had a wierd relationship with him, because he wasn't exactly a model father for my mom and her siblings.

I have good memories of him from a long time ago, but in the years leading up to his death we hardly saw him, and we knew him even less. But at the same time, he was still my blood-grandfather. I feel bad that he died alone. It's all just kind of numb...

And I think I know how you feel, I went through the same with both my grandfathers (my mom's dad and my father's dad) and one of my grandmothers (my father's dad). The only exception was my other grandmother (my mom's mom), she was very nice with me, and watching her in her final years was not exactly pleasant, when I knew about her death........ it was weird, like it couldn't be happening.

Let's hope that he (your grandfather) is in a better place now

I'm sorry kay'. I was lucky enough to know my great grandfather, but since he had several strokes he was kinda lost to us at the end so when he died and I couldn't make it to the funeral, it was kinda wierd for me too. Death is that way, we are some of the only creatures that know what we have is fleeting, that's why we have to make the most of it.

I hope everyone gets to make the most of it this week :wink3:

@Kaysaar: I can only imagine how that must feel. I sometimes think of how it would be if my father died... I don't have a good relationship to him. I wonder if I'd miss him, if anything would change. Well probably more than I'd like, after all he's still my father. Weird...

People, I haven't told you the best thing about my relationship yet! :laugh: There were actually two other boys wanting to be together with Sina, but she decided to take me. That makes me feel so worthy... :cloud9:

But... on the other hand... I don't feel really good at the moment. An hour ago or so I had to help my father again, work which I hate with a person I don't really get along with. But that's not the actual reason. What I then experienced is like a horror story for all you kitten-lovers... :cry: :

When I went to get some working utilities I heard noise around the corner. *pitch* *patch* *pitch* When I went there to see what it is I saw 3 dead little kittens beaded on the ground. My sister was there holding a fourth kitten in her hand. She smiled at me and said "Hey, you wanna know how I did that?". I was so shocked that I ran away and she brutally murdered the fourth kitten as well, throwing it on the ground several times. AAAAAAH!!! I could cry, these poor kittens... We have a few cats and when they all get children we have a HORDE of cats. The number of cats would increase exponentially and we can't hold them all, we can't pay all that animal food. My family members say we wouldn't be able to get rid of them buy selling or donating them to someone else because noone would want to have them... and so they brutally murder them. I find it especially shocking how my sister acted... she did not show ANY remorse and treated them as... as... TOYS or something!

Woah!! here that would be cruelty to animals, and your sister would be under court supervision right ow, if not in juvinaille detention. Any one doing something like that is sick. And she needs help to relize that that is not aceptable behavior!

If you can't keep that many kittens then you need to spay and nuter your cats. and if by chance the worst thing happens and you can't find some one to take the litter, then you need to take them to a shelter. Tourturing them like that is horrible and I for one am sick and disgusted.

My father in law used to do that himself (cats not sisters) it involved a canvas sack and a quick snip. I'ld pass on how to do it, but he didn't elaborate on the details.

That is absolutely disgusting. I'm sickened by that story reb. I'm sorry you have to live with such people.

Report them. To the police or the anti-animal cruelty place, i dont care which. but that is sick is should never EVER happen.

Hi. Since you are talking about kittens and things like that (BTW that's horrible, there's always someone who would take them, no need for killing) I guess I can post about my dog... he died (actualy we had to put him down) yesterday... he was 14 years old and I have trouble remembering times when he wasn't with us... it's more than half of my life. I just cannot belive he won't be there tomorrow :cry:

Crap. I wish I could get drunk, but thath seems kinda silly. Damn. Life sucks :sad2:

nex, you have my sympathy. I remember how sad I felt when my old cat got sick and died. That's the problem with life. Everything dies eventually. Hang in there. Time may not heal all wounds, but it does make them hurt less.

@Reborn2k: I wish I had your luck. The girl that I'm head over heels for is hung up on a friend who moved away 2 years ago. I've never told her how I feel, because it would only complicate things and we are already best friends. I get the feeling she knows, however. The bottom line is that I care enough for her that all I want is for her to be happy, and if that means I have to sit out, well, I'll take a seat. It's just hard, because she's so perfect, but I don't want to throw a wrench into an already strong friendship. Perhaps it's partially my own insecurity, because my first gf cheated on me with three other guys. I guess I just have a rough time with relationships, but I feel like this one has potential. I was honestly on my way to tell her the other day, but when I got there she was talking about how the basketball captain asked her out and she flat-out told him she can't be in a relationship atm. If she turned down the All-State Point Guard, I doubt a football lineman would have much chance.

@nex: The best advice I can offer you is to focus on the memories. Internalizing is often a bad idea, but when you have such happy thoughts with a friend, holding them forever is a good thing. I'm doing it right now, because my cat ran away 3 weeks ago. And life doesn't suck, even though what you make of it can give that impression. Think of how amazing it is that we're here in the first place. We have all been given an astounding opportunity. We get to live. So live to the fullest, and raise your glass high.

Anyways, that's my release for the day. I better stop thinking about this stuff before depression kicks in. :upset:

I wish you both the very best. Enjoy every second, and don't close your eyes, because the best things in life are right in front of you.
