No fair, bunny just got back from HI, you get to go to AK, I'm stuck here and we may not even get city fireworks b/c of the fire threat. I'm a total firework freek, back in +90% humidity land my family usually spent about $200 on fireworks for just the 3 of us. Our neighbors all got a real big kick, one of them even told us he'd rather stay at home and see ours than fight the crowds to see the ones done by the city at the lake.

Meanwhile, shopping is coming! The 4th sales start today and I so need munchies for the guests.

Goltar and I were HS sweet hearts... sort of. We both got into a 2 year magnet school for the whole state. We meet in Latin class our Jr. year and our Sr. year we started dating. Soon after we knew it was forever, so despite going to colleges 1000 miles away from each other, we got married 5 years after we first started dating.

Let's see I first met Marisa at some camp invention thing at my middle school, by I actually don't remember it. A photo turned up of her as the group leader and me in her group, neither of us remember this. We started off as friends in HS band, and later she asked me to join town band. We didn't start getting close until the summer in between my Senior year in HS and my first at university.

We started spending a lot of time together, and some time became a lot of time, and a lot of time became every moment neither of us was working. We actually didn't "officially" become an item until two days before she had to go back to school. Almost two years now, and we're still going very strong, in spite of the 1000 mile between us for a good 7-8 months of the year.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone here follow the Tour de France at all? It started on Saturday, and is through 4 of 21 stages. I for one happen to love the TdF and look forward to every July just for this. I only with the USA would wake up and have it on a non-premium cable channel :rant:

mmm, yes the freebies will never bother with it all, though they have all sorts of other sports on. You ask me, biking 2178 miles (3505K) qualifies as an extreme sport. But face it, no station is going to give up 3 weeks of programing to a single sport half a world away. I could almost see highlights happening on the weekend, but not the whole race.

ESPN used to do 1/2 hour highlights of the tour, but apparently they decided tennis or golf are more interesting to watch :rant:
