Dude, I would give my fav sorc up to be able to only drive 3 miles. I was driving 30 before I got so sick of the 45 min ea way commute and people I had to work w/ that I gave it up. It was more trouble (and money w/ gas and insurance added in) than it was worth and now I'm learning stained glass so I can work from home. Before we moved out here I was working 5 miles from home and was the one always called in for emergencies and to cover for someone when they didn't show because I was the closest.

I used to do stained glass. and woodburning. and sewing.

now im more of a mans man *eats a bottle of beer* don't really know why i stopped. im tempted to find all my old stuff and give it another go now. thanks W_M!

@Riz: no problem mate :D what does your girlfriend do?

sowwie sid

tonight corax was called on to serve his country. thats right. i speak of the most gruesome of battles. indoor soccer against RAAF'ies.

my bro's team needed another player or else they would of forfeited. so corax got drafted to stand in the corner and look pretty. needless to say i failed horribly.

we held them off for the first half when our own reinforcements arrived and corax was promptly removed to the bench. where i promptly brought my rather large tea back up into a nearby bin because the other teams reserve refused to reveal the location of the depot (read: bathroom).

some thoughts: dont eat so much if their is a chance of having to do something physical. RAAF'ies play dirty. that building needs ventilation. ouch my spine. :D

@grogs - bec still having trouble adjusting to a lifestyle away from friends and family? Grats on the move, might have saved your life...you never know right M8?

@corax - way to piss in a bin....now did you dump on the RAAFies stuff afterwords?

@Rizzo - ur girl got in an accident?!?

@isengart- grats on the graduation and move into the family business.....hearing you describe your life in Austria is so different from the life I live in America its shocking. Always interesting to hear how things are on the other side of the world to give you some different perspective in life.

@the rest - gday!

Ronin: Yes she crashed on the highway, but fortunately nothing happened to her. Extremely fortunate since she was driving around 130 km/h. No other cars were involved tho, but the car she was driving was totaled. Her mothers.
Her neck hurts tho, but I would be near impossible to get away from something like that unscratched. I'm jsut very happy she's alive!

I love the new 'tar, btw. I'm glad to hear she's as well as she is, she was very lucky but she needs to definatly get her back checked out. My aunt (rl, not sidhe) was in a minor fender bender, she got a touch of wiplash and it wasn't until much later that they figured out that it had also aggravated a disc in her spine to the point that they had to do surgery. Had she gone to a good chiropractor and not just a quack general practice who only took x-rays of her neck, they might have been able to keep it from getting to that point.

Don't worry WM.
X-rays have been taken, and she has sustained no injury.
It hurts of course, but there is no injury. Many doctors, including my dad, has checked her out so I'm pretty confident everything is fine. There is the aches of course, but she's going to a physiotherapist to take care of that. Let's hope she does her excercises too :)

It's ok, sweetheart... You've discovered what most of us still have to find out; that Real Life can and should never be replaced by any form of life online, and that you should cherish every second of Life Itself...
Very well said, Sidhe. On that note, I just got back from a very nice little camping weekend with the family. We had perfect weather, unlike two weeks earlier when it was in the 20s (F, that is) and snowed over two inches overnight.

I'll probably have more time online the next couple weeks since my wife leaves for Europe on Thursday, and I'll be home with the kids for 10 days, so my evenings will have more computer time than usual once the kids are in bed.

@Rizzo, glad to hear that your lady is okay...that's some scary stuff. Tell her to slow it down a bit. :)

@Ronin, sorry work blows...do you have some hobby to improve your overall mental state? You've gotta keep it balanced out, you know. It's just not worth hurting yourself.

@Rizzo - glad shes ok m8.....thats some scary stuff indeed. Well, no real harm no foul....hopefully ...... the important thing is shes ok. Glad to hear your both alright and your relationship is healthy. Nice tar as well.....you guys always look so passionate...heh.

@piscene - my mental state is alright I suppose, I practice pretty intense mixed martial arts several times a week to blow off my steam, and general resentment for what I have to do to scratch out a living in southern California. Fighting usually cools me down quite a bit for the next few days....I suppose I shouldnt complain as its about 1000 times better than it was 6 months ago. I also play starcraft, guild wars, and I paint miniatures to relax. Only problem is at times I have to put everything aside, and I mean everything to finish my work. Thats when you get the comments like work blows on here heheh. :uhhuh:

Edit: Now that I think about it, there is no need for sorrow. I chose my own career! Doh! Similar to grogs I suppose, we have chosen fast paced jobs which demand alot....at times I just get aggrivated (sp?).

@amidala - thx for the gday back at me....and now another one back at u:

Have a good one everybody.

@risso, I wasn't trying to preach, I just worry about and mother everybody. I've been that way since I was 5 and I gave up trying to change it a long time ago.

@ronin, when D1 first came out (and D2 later) I had a friend who'd play (and kill the succubi esp.) to relive stress. BTW, I assume your on American on GW, I'm Marti Gras in game.

@everyone: who wants to be a guina pig for this blueberry cookie recipe I'm baking? Oh, and enjoy your day!

OMDG! These are NOT cookies, they are bread batter on a cookie sheet. Not only are they ugly, but they're not all that yummy. Not recomended.

Well, I was going to try them out but with that solid endorsment, I think I'll pass. Although I'll be happy to try out any good cookie recipes you've got. My girls and I can do some baking while mommy is away.
