OT: Are you going to buy Sacred?

"This game seems to be a Diablo clone that has finally got it right." That has been what I have read from two different previewers (Computer Gaming World Mag.and Gamespy.com). Check out the developers web site here: http://www.ascaron.com/gb/gb_sacred/index.html Divine Divinity was one Diablo clone I tried and just can't seem to get hooked on it. Any other Diablo clones you have tried?

I am thinking about trying this game. It is supposed to be coming out soon But I don't know about the U.S. release date.

CGW said that for those waiting for Diablo 3 need not wait any longer.

Looks interesting, but I would like to hear from someone that actaully plays it. Wish it had a demo to try out.

seems cool and all that but what i don´t need right now in my life is another addiction. Sure it could replace dII but since i´ve played it for so long i´ll just keep playing it til it gets boring....

I will probably go ahead and get it..currently spending alot of time playing Divine Divinity (www.larian.com), as was mentioned here a while ago by somebody, and it is a good game (not as good as Diablo..but still entertaining).

I believe there is a demo. Not sure where it is, tho. I tried a google search using the words "sacred pc game" and I believe a link popped up for a demo.

Maybe. Depends on what I hear about the game. I'm not sure I need a diablo clone. I bet all it can do is drop one stupid charm... :teeth:

(Well, in all honesty I know nothing about the game, or if it even is something akin to diablo. Oh wait, I remember something about horses and a seraphim but that's about it)

I probably won't be able to do that as I am on dial up and I have to pay for time. So downloading something over a few megs is not worth the trouble (and the money). :) Might look into the game, though, if I hear a lot of good feedback.

Personally I liked Divine Divinity a lot--the combo of Diablo style combat with a proper RPG storyline was a really good one, IMHO. This is why my next game purchase is going to be Beyond Divinity, the next game in the Divinity series.

Sacred looks good, but I don't want to buy yet another game I won't have time to play...

No. Last thing I need is another game to waste my time. I already waste enough on Diablo as it is.

The demo is pretty good, and it looks like it'll be a good game, but I'll wait till it drops down in price when it comes out. I'm still hooked on Diablo and my life can't afford another addition. The demo took like 2 and a half hours on DSL, I think its like 250 Megs. Its really big. If you can take the time to download it, do it. At least to try it out.

I've already invested a significant amount of money in upgrading my computer system to play the game. I haven't played the demo, because the only web access I have is at work. I hope the final game doesn't suck.

I probably will get it (no idea about an Australian release date, though). I liked the demo, and it'd be nice to get in "on the ground floor", so to speak, and start playing it while it's fresh and new, rather than come in a couple of years late as a hopeless n00b like I did with D2. :)

If Ascaron really goes ahead and add Hotkey Customizability in the final release, then Yes.

Otherwise it's another Divine Divinity for me (great gameplay and all, but players are stuck with F1 & Co.?! So... primitive :( ) I won't buy if so.

Yes, I will. And since it should be out today, it may even be that I play this very weekend.
