    OT: Anyone listen to Offspring?

Well I just started listening to them. There amazing. I like ALL of their songs, which is something that rarely happens. One song I really like is 'The kids aren't alright'. It's a great song, and the lyrics have meaning. Self Esteem is also a good song.

One of my favorite bands, actually. Have all of their albums. Just haven't been listening to much of any music lately. My favorite song is "Million Miles Away" (from Conspiracy of One).

Tool is simply going to rock your face off, end of story.

That Buzzfest bill sounds pretty decent, too.

I love the Offspring also. I saw them live last year at the Warped Tour, man that was awsome! I also have a tee-shirt with part of "bad habbit" on the back of it. I like to wear it around when I'm pissed off ("Stupid dumb**** goddamn mother****er" is what it says....)

"The kids aren't alright" is an awsome song, I also like "Want you bad" and "The worst hang over ever" and "Bad habbit" and... oh hell, there is a whole bunch of them!

Glad to hear you like them.

Once I figure out my current situation with my router, i'll be looking into Avenged Sevenfold. I don't much like Alice in Chains, or any of the rest you mentioned. I'm hoping Avenged Sevenfold will be as entertaining as Offspring has been.

Anyone know anything about Lynksys routers? For some reason mine stopped working. I don't want to go spend another $100.00 for a new router, considering I don't have a job at the moment. I'd open the router up, but with my luck I would tear it up. PM me if anyone has a Lynksis router
    (model: BEFSR41). Thanks!

Uhh...can you be more specific as to how it stop working? It just doesn't respond or what? I've never been a fan of wireless routers (im assuming you have one because linksy's is big on that). Either your router simply died, some of the ports have been closed and need to be opened or your connection died.

No, it's not wireless. I bought one with a 50 foot wire because I read something somewhere about someone with a laptop could be like 30 feet away and steal your connection or hack into your information. I don't know if it's true or not, but my wire-full router worked just fine. It just won't give the connection to either computer. When my computer is directly connected to my computer, i can get online. When it's connected to the router it doesn't give the connection. It just started doing this too. I'm not sure what's going on. I would have internet, but I have to fight my brother for it. He uses the excuse I need the internet for school which is bull****. All he does is get on MSN and play on pogo.

Well one thing you can do is to hook your computer up to your brother's computer, and your brother's computer up to the modem and use your brother's computer as a gateway, or vice-versa. This only works if one of you has 2 ethernet ports on the back of the box though.

As for the router itself - can you connect to it? Eg if you type into IE 192.168.0.1 (or whatever address the router is supposed to have) do you get the settings page?

If so, can you watch traffic from that page? And if that's the case, is the router recieving packets from you, is it sending those packets out, is it recieving packets from another source, and is it sending them back to you? Same question in regards to your brother's computer.

Does the router work if only one computer is hooked up to it?

My linksys is default to 192.168.1.1, so make sure you try that one also.

I don't get the support page. No packets are being sent either. I think it's dead. I'll open it up later tonight I guess and see if a wire came lose or something. If so i'll just sauder(sp?) it back on if I can and I will be set.

Thank you guys for the help on the router. I woke up today and on the computer chair sat a brown box. Inside the brown box was a Charter Highspeed Cable box. Looks like I don't need the router anymore, the only problem is I have to pay for the second modem each month. I guess it's worth it.. Everyone likes to have intner, yes?
