    Re: Osama bin Laden dead?

A spinner of conspiracy theories would say now that your friend saw that something was dumped into the sea, but how does he know that it was bin Laden?

Historical events are often brought in conjunction with conspiracies. Many people prefer to believe that important events have likewise significant or dramatic causes instead of trivial or simple reasons.

This is part of the double standard, that followers of Islam just don't seem to understand. You can have untold numbers of their faithful out in the streets cheering and burning American flags right after the Twin Towers went down, and they'll just turn around and say it's just the extremists and not indicative of their faith/beliefs. You can have millions of them in an uproar calling for the death of a cartoonist, despite the fact the person who drew that cartoon doesn't follow your beliefs, so why would he be expected on pain of death to follow your codes?

Same thing with Osama. They say he didn't represent their religion, yet are upset over his death and his burial. Do we commit the same hypocrisy... did any of our religious groups go nuts when an American terrorist was put to death, saying we didn't respect the beliefs of his religion on burial when we executed him??

News Flash for the world: far more of people of their faith hold beliefs skewered towards the extreme end than they want you to believe. You just need to see how they treat women in many of their countries, to see proof positive. I fear the eventual 3rd World War between Muslims and Christians is inevitable... I just hope I don't live to see it happen.

Probably the correct choice. Either way, it's damned if you do, and damned if you don't. If you don't, people say it's a hoax. If you do, people say you're violating human rights.

I agree with all you said except this. Imo, it's best to get some things over with! Just sit back and watch our fellow apemen do their thing.

I guess you could be right... if it happens and the world plunges into the Dark Ages and anarchy, it might be interesting to live through it.

It might wake up humanity if we had to start from scratch, and learn to live again as the rest of the species on this planet do. Fend for ourselves, hunt/gather for our daily food, get back into a more natural balance with our environment instead of dominating it :O

I disagree, but then I don't see how it violates anyone's rights to show pictures of their dead body anyway. If you're not alive, you don't have rights anymore IMO.

    Re: Osama bin Laden dead?

Actually, I think that the Pakis held back. Down the block is their training facilities for their special forces housing roughly 10-15,000 crack troops. The operation took roughly an hour. And there was NEVER a response from the Pakis to a firefight in the middle of the night. And thereafter, not a single Paki aircraft was scrambled for an intercept.

IMO, the Paki intelligence/military is splintered. Obviously Bin Ladin purchased protection. But a good number of Pakis are on our side.

    Re: Osama bin Laden dead?

Problem is, of course, that Islam is juvenile in practice, partially because it pretty much depends on which boy-lover has the ear of the crowd at any given time. Erudite Muslim scholarship isn't really "in" with Wahabis, and they're the ones with hands on the steering wheel thanks to Saudi oil cash.
I think you might realize the relevance of the term "Sudetenland" any day now. But hey, maybe I watch too much Glenn Beck.

And a shout out to Smeg, where ever you are! Dhimmis don't know...

    EDIT -
Uh, it doesn't get much "into a more natural balance with our environment" than wiping your arsehole with sand and your left hand. Hasn't helped them much, now, has it? Western Civilization is to be cherished and protected, and those trying to tear it down will likely find themselves having an "Osama" courtesy of people like me when times get hard.
