    Damage per second:

    Clvl=1-15: 25*(9*Clvl+31)/256
    Clvl=16-30: 25*(18*Clvl-104)/256
    Clvl=31-45: 25*(27*Clvl-374)/256
    Clvl=46-60: 25*(36*Clvl-779)/256
    Clvl=61-99: 25*(45*Clvl-1319)/256

    Yes, more than 100% is useless since you'll cause OW every time you hit at 100%.

    those formulas are quite confusing... how much actual damage do u do when ur between 61-99... say for instance 85... and i heard somewhere that it scales per difficulty... is this true?

    At level 85 you use the 61-99 formula:

    25*(45*85-1319)/256
    =25*(3825-1319)/256
    =373.5 damage per second.

    It doesn't change with difficulty.

    If it's triggered more than once, it should just reset the timer on OW (like poison).

    Yes, OW works on PIs (but it may not show up immediately, for some odd reason).

    OW is unaffected by other modifiers, so CS/DS won't double it, for instance.

    Thanks for this information and I don't mean to be ungrateful ... but I think your arithmetic is incorrect. I only know since I made a spreadsheet to calculate it over a range of levels .:p

    Damage should be 244.7 per second for 25 * (3825 -1319) / 256

    Incidently, 25 * 3825 / 256 = 373.5 so the arithmetic error is easy to spot ;)

    So OW is good but not that good.

    Note: don't do maths for other people when rushing off to a lecture :)

    OW is actually pretty handy though, since it allows you to get, in 1 item, an unresistable amount of damage which you would require a lot of poison charms to equal. Of course it's not 15k+ damage, but non-caster characters need every advantage they can get :p

    The best part about OW is that it slows down the monsters regenerative process. In hell they regnerate life very quickly!
