Commands for the channel bot:

Most important commands
.gauss Show running gauss games (not only baalruns)
.pass Display the gauss password of the day (3 digits)
.login Start hosting gauss games (name must contain gs|gauss)
.addnews <expiretime> <message> Display message once to all users till it expires
.mail <name> <message> Sends the user a channel mail (Retrieve with !inbox)

Commands for all

Gauss games
Gauss games are reserved for members of the channel and must have the .pass-word. They can be some kind of run, questing, mf-ing or just any kind of game where you welcome other gauss players.

What to do to host a gauss game:
1. use the .login command, do "/f a gauss" if not done yet
2. use .pass to get the current password
3. create the game(s) normally, the name must contain gs or gauss. The bot sees the new game (because of the /f a gauss) and displays a message with the game name.

To join a gauss game:
If you know the gamename and .pass-word, just join the game
else:
1. use .gauss to display a list of all games
2. use .pass to get the current password
3. join the game

IMPORTANT: Never, ever allow non-gauss players to join gauss games. No, NEVER! :nono: If you have a friend that would like to join, tell him to apply in this forum. If you do it anyway, you get :hammerhead: and :banned03:

.gauss Show running gauss games (not only baalruns)
.login Start hosting gauss games (name must contain gs|gauss)
.logout Stop hosting gauss games
.myinfo
.allinfo Stats
.top

Who was when in the channel?

.allseen Shows last 15 users in the channel
.seen <name> When user was last seen

News
News are used for displaying information on active events or useful stuff. Example: If you are running a public ench game, you can make a news entry to inform other gauss players who might be starting up a new char (.addnews 1h Running public ench game ench-001).
.addnews <expiry> <message> Display <message> once to all users till <expiry>(30=30minutes, 3h=3 hours aso)
.allnews Display all non-expired news

Miscellaneous
.whoami Shows your access level (70/71 for ops)
.quote
.pingme

.runeword <rune word name> gets a runeword by it's name
.wordrune <rune or rune combo> gets runeword(s) by rune

.afk [reason]
.noafk
.afklist

Commands for OPS (needs access >=70)
.getmuleinfo Get account and password of the gauss community mules
.safeadd 71 op only: adds to safelist and unbans a user or wildcard tag. Unban trick: see below!
.banned Show b.net banned users
.exile <name> Bans, ipbans and blackllists an account. Used for known tppk accounts.
.unexile <name>

.timeban <username> <time> [reason]

.untimeban <username>
.timebanned[/B]

-The <time> argument is in minutes, and must be an integer
-To use something other than minutes use .timeban <username> <x>/<time> [reason]
- <x> can be d (days), h (hours), or s (seconds)
Examples:
.timeban Joe h/24 timebans Joe for 24 hours
.timeban Joe d/7 timebans Joe for 7 days

Unban trick:
.safeadd-ing will automatically unban the account, if the <theuser> is online. If not, do a short timeban, like this:
.timeban <theuser> s/5
The bot will leave and rejoin the channel after 5s to lift the timeban for acc <theuser>. This automatically removes the b.net ip/ban of all users.:nono:

I like the commands dyolf, although .seen <name> doesn't seem to work for anyone not having access 70.

txs marcello and qwertiest for reporting, .seen, .whoami and .allinfo now work for all users.

How the baalscript works:

host (player that will start the games) does 3 things:
- .login (->bot starts tracking hosts games, adds the host to its friend list)
- host adds gauss to his friend list /f a gauss
- host starts games, name MUST contain gauss or baal in it

-> bot now says the game name, PLUS displays it if anyone uses the .baal command

normal players just wait till the game is up, then join the fun

cheers, and have fun!

Re: op gauss channel commands

it messages all players that are .login'd, so all players get the message, nothing more. nice for whispering a game pw or name.

Re: op gauss channel commands

Just installed a plugin to see afk users
Commands:
.afk [reason]
.noafk
.afklist
.addnick <username> <nickname>
.remnick <username> <nickname>
.listnicks [username]

Notes:
-If a user in the channel is idle for 10 minutes (by default), they'll set as AFK
-If an AFK user starts talking a lot, their AFK status will be removed
-The [reason] arguement in the afk command is optional

Re: op gauss channel commands

I tried 2 log on 2 channel and it wouldn't let me. Bit confused, said something about safelist or something, cant remember exactly, is there a reason or have i done something stupid(wouldn't be the first time)

Re: op gauss channel commands

i have added you to the safelist. you did nothing stupid, the channel bot is just doing its job of keeping unknown(=possibly nasty) people out.
you should be able to enter the channel now, if not its because you are still restricted on b.net, which we can only fix while you are online. no big deal.

anyways, welcome! you'll find nice and helpful people in the channel. check out the bot commands in this thread too, some handy stuff there.

cya!

i got a question :) im trying to unban a nice player *ajklahabt. doesnt work? he has done nothing wrong but i think the problem is that he was exiled, (not banned)? im not 100% familiar with all the commands but is there a special way to "unexile"?

He possibly tried to enter before being safelisted, which got him a b.net restriction (the bot instructs b.net to keep that user away from our channel) To lift this, the user must be online and then you can .unban him (else you get the message 'user is not online'). If that doesn't work, i clear the entire ban list, using the .cbl command. Anyway, i just did a .cbl, so he should be able to enter now.

I cant get in the channel for some reason, I tried to enter with one of my mule accounts and forgot it wasnt safelisted, not sure if that has anything to do with it. Anychance someone could un-ban me?
