Haha...No. There will not be a next time.

I would just consider things like. How old I am, job, money, free time. Stuff like that. Not saying I regret having kids when I did, just that they are not a decision that you should enter into lightly.

Kids are fricken expensive.

Yes they are. You really can't realistically wait until you get all of your finances in order though, as that will likely never happen.

I know how you feel, that is why we are not planning on kids for another 3 to 4 years. Hopefully I will get a chance to work overseas and get some more experience (and thus better pay) before I have to support a family

I was only making 8 bucks an hour when mine was born, and my wife didn't work. You can make it work if you have to.

I don't blame you, it's certainly a good plan. I really wouldn't recommend people have kids before they've been married a few years.

So? Just double up. The chances of something making it through that are so minor that you'd be entitled to special government funds.

lol mantis, unfortunately I occasionally work in the area of Process Safety and that is not quite how safety measures work

The problem is if one fails it is likely due to a manufacturing defect and thus given the other rubbers in the same pack are likely from the same lot number they also have a high chance to fail, hence doubling up does not give you the effective protection of 99.9999%. It is almost impossible to ensure that two of them are independent as there is still a common point of failure as they are been worn together.
