I have noticed a few more spikes that normal lately, unless I KNOW I will be fine afterwards, I save and exit right upon noticing them.
However if nothing but weak monsters are around, and I'm in like NM with my sorc, I love watching my merc on speed.
Lag still sucks though, hasn't dropped me from any games yet, yet.....

I think it has a little something to do with all those noobs jumping on with their hacked up, duped up, jacked up equipment.
Follow along as I unfold a few minutes in the life of the average DII dunce that tries to bring hacked/duped stuff onto B-net. . .
1. Goober #1 calls his buddy: "Ya man. . .I traded this dork a chipped diamond and a Lenymo belt for a BotD. . .he's such an idiot. Hahahaha. . .let's go do a Baal run and try it out. He said it was legit"
2. Goober #2 says, "Cool. I've been meaning to Jump on B'net and Pk someone anyway. . .we'll try it out while we're in there. . .hahahaha"

Fast forward 10 Minutes. . .
--->Insert huge lag spike here. . .:shocked:
--->Remove goober #1's hacked / duped up crap here. . .oh and Goober #2's Last Wish that he traded a Rare Kris and a Choking Gas potion for just poofed, too.
--->Piss off all people on B-net here. . .
