Oh no!

    Oh no!

    Bad news this time. Two of my mules expired! I lost all my cathan's stuff and some other low level sets which I planned to use for my low chars. My computer clock is correct, and I recently gave some cathan seals to a friend a month ago, maybe 2 months... In that screenshot, those with 22 days and 24 days left are gone forever... wth?

    I lost 8 mule characters a few months ago. I forgot about them because I hadn't played in a little while, and when I logged on, I was like a day late.

    The point is I do not understand why they are expired, as you can see from the screenshot, they seem fine but are actually in fact expired...

    I can say with high certaintly that your system date is off. I've not yet heard of this situation being caused by anything else.

    Probably this has something to do with your computer clock.

    It all works with computer clock.

    If you for example make a character on 1/1/2004 - It registers somehow the date/time of your computer clock.

    If you then manually change the time, lets say to 1/1/2005, it says "Character expired", but it actually isn't. You can still play with it etc, but it will keep saying "expired".

    well this could be the opposite. ive seen when it says expired but you can still play them because of the computer clock, in that case the clock is fast. your clock may be slow?

    I had the same exact problem with the same exact message..

    I also heard this is a problem on USWEST (my main realm).

    Apparently blizzard is aware of this problem but is not publicizing it.
    Here is a response on the blizzard tech support/battle.net site:

    Please be aware that aside from this issue, an incorrect Windows date set in your system clock could produce similar results. Please check your clock and ensure the date it is set to is correct before submitting your character information.

    This specific expiration issue is very easy for us to discern from normal expirations. If you character expired normally, do not submit it as an error.

    This is entirely correct. This same thing happened to me on about 5 of my characters and Bliz fixed them all :thumbsup:

    Actually I don't think I'll go through all the trouble, since those were just low level sets I lost. My computer clock is definitely correct.

    Alright this isn't a bump, but anyway I got back my characters after filling in that form SirDooFuss game me. This is blizzard's reply.

    They still care! I'm amazed.
