    Oh for crying out loud....

I was checking mules for someone, to give them a ribcracker and I guess I joined/quit too fast 'cos it's not letting me connect now. >.<

Is this a perm. type thing or.. will it finally let me go back on after a certain period of time. Blah. :|

Give it 10 or 15 minutes and you'll be able to get back on.

    Thank goodness, heh.

If it was a perm. type-deal, well.. that'd be the end of D2 for me.

No way I was going to join west and go through all that all over again. :p

Semi-officially this was supposely implemented so that bots can be used. But I'm very very suspicious of how they make the "time-out" period just long enough so that any self-muling game you made would be expired...

    How does that prevent botting?
I've transfered alot of items btw and never had this problem.

its happend to me. if u leave and exit a game too fast it kicks you off. sometimes says "realm down" or says "cannot connect" when i x'fer i go slow. take my time. :)

Is that the only problem? Twice this week I've lost (decent) items while self-muling because of that. I've only seen a realm down message once. All the other times, when I quit the game, it simply disconnects me from the server, and I can't reconnect (goodby war travs, WWS and stealskull :grrr: ). The thing is, it's happened to me when I've been in the game for upwards of a minute (after having done several switches/ fast character scans) before leaving. Is there a minimum amount of time required each time you leave and re-enter the game so the server doesn't think you're a bot?

5 mins u should wait in the game. Less than that it wont hold the game open. It might hold it open for the first one, but after that....gone

    1. You can get on open battle.net and tell people to go pick up your items for you.

    2. If you're on 56k, reset your internet connection, it bypasses the ban. Never lost an item myself. ;)

I've been drop trading items in solo games for over three years. I haven't lost an item yet either. Alot of people are mentioning this tempa-ban situation while muling -- I have yet to experience it.

The only tempa-bans I've had to endure are due to the occasional game crash -- usually during 8-player Baal runs.
