A tool to order mods and make removing them dead easy.

No, just your char. There are mods that do overhaul the textures on NPC faces.

thanks MM

*im going to have to look into the textures links...that looks really sweet!

DB has the best quests in the game. At least that is what I think.
ooo..nice!....they seems the most fun so far (mages has me running around doing errands...=/....fighters guild apparently i need to go to certain cities to get quests....and the thieves i haven't joined yet....although playing the speechcraft game i got it down to going to the water front at midnight to join....)

im wondering if i should mix it up...joining differnt guilds...also how is the arena experience?

*** i dloaded a bunch of the unique landscape mods...i just need to install the OBMM to address the order of how the mods are loaded =P.....

I'm a total munchkin so I always join as much as I can and then justify it for myself. DB is my favorite, followed by the Thieves Guild. Mages gets more interesting when you reach the Arcane university, but then I still find it to be a bit bland. Fighters guild is real easy like and it takes a long while before they introduce a good storyline. What I do miss is that they allow me to join all guilds. There is no repercussion to joining something. This also bothered me when they did that in DX: IW.

Arena is easy in Vanilla OB, but pretty damn hard in OOO. The Grey Prince can be really difficult or totally easy.

nice!....i haven't done any of the missions in the fighter guild...and have only gotten one reccomendation (chorral) although i plan to do bravil's reccomendation next (since i happen to be in the town =P)

i was also surprised that you could join all the guilds and become the leader of each..i would think that some of them might have a conflict of interest....where perhaps several guilds crossed paths....but then again im eager to see how the new guild will be (the crusader one...)

*also its a bit weird that i can pillage a guild and make tons of money...a bit of an exploitative aspect of the game...although i have used it quite a bit to get on my feet (yay no more iro and rusty weapons/armor...lol)

im also eager to try out the arena..although ive been avoiding it..since im still at lvl 6...lol....

also a some what important question...how do i find my horse?....i was going offroad from chorral--->bravil...ran into a hedge mage or something..dismounted to attack him....got tangeled up in a bush of sorts...while the mage went after my horse...after spininng around a few times....the mage and horse were both gone...=/....and i had to walk the remainder of hte trip...which too forever (also this horse was the one i got for free at weynon priory...im not sure if that matters....ie the horse walked home etc)

PS3 comes out tommorrow!!! Unfortuately.... its going to be sold out within the first few minutes of release.... so ill settle getting it in about.. 3-4 :undecided: months. On the other hand, I only really want it for the newest game coming out in 2007, "Assasins Creed"... already nominated for the best game in 2007  , anyway, any thoughts on PS3 here?

OOO fixes this. You need to rise in the guild before you can take the more expensive stuff.

how do i find my horse?
Fast travel, or reload.

Wait a month and it'll be thre for PC and Xbox 360 as well. The game looks promising, but somehow I get the feeling i'm going to hate the controls.

Thoughts on the PS3, well I think they made some grave mistakes. Heat problems made them have to bulk it up, the controller is a half-assed rip-off, yield problems result in extensive delays for the continent I'm residing in, up-scaling problems, really expensive and not a lot of games worth checking out. I just fail to see a reason to buy a PS3. I'm saving money for a Wii.

The games arent any good... yet. They'll come out with some good games in due time, and I probably wont buy it until the price goes down and the availiability goes up ($3000 on Ebay is just insane). But I dont think the Wii will get a peace of Assasins Creed, for Xbox and PS3 only  . Besides, ive never been a hardcore nintendo player, and I hate the controllers for the new Wii.

PS3 may be the most expensive game around, yet size is never a problem for me and it promises to be the best console around.

Ouch Mantis, Europe are you? Heard that they ran out of blue-ray disks.... and have delayed shipping it indefinately. :prop:

The controllers look gimmickey enough for me to try it. Nintendo usually has the most unique games, which can't be found on PC. That is the only reason I want one, because of truly exclusive games.

The other consoles and PC usually have the same kind of games. AC was already rumored to be released for PC and Xbox 360.

The PS3 may very well be a fantastic system, but at the moment I just see no reason to want one. Xbox 360 basically does the same and has some very decent games and is available. Not that I own one, or will own one. I just see no reason for a console other than the Wii.

If it comes it will be in March, but I feel confident that they won't make that date and will leave us waiting until Christmas 2007.

oi...how do you open rar files?...i just uncompress them somehow and drop the files into the oblivion data folder? (ive been dropping rar fiels straight into the oblivion folder thinking they were oblivion type files...)

Use tilde to bring up the console then type "showracemenu" without the quotes.

7zip should be able to handle .rar files.
nice..the showrace menu will let me redo my char...awesome..i can't wait to try out some of the new hairs/faces....i guess it let you play around with your char a bit....

ill try the 7zip tonight on the rar files

Thx MM!

*played a bit of oblivion this weekend...finally visited all the major cities (fast traveled most of them....)

did the arena up to gladiator (the arena is fun)....although some matches were very frustrating (2 vs 1 and 3 vs 1 matches were pretty dangerous)...and had to take a break at gladiator as i had exhausted my various heal potions...lol....(and this gave me a chance to do the gray prince quest...which was bad..because i contacted pryoblahblah hemophilia....vampirism...im not sure how to get rid of it..but i went to a church to pray...i hope that did it...=/....

also did my second dark brotherhood murder...(the pirate captain...that was actually pretty hard......i had no trouble sneak attacking the captain...and taking him down..but when his two pirate goons came rushing in...i had a hard time fend them both off......it took a few reloads...oh also it was cool meeting my first vampire "vincent valiteri" (and i like the new dark armor/shroud =P)

got most of my mages recommendations....and i have to say that the mages quest lines so far are pretty interesting...im really curious about falcar...im guessing he is a necromancer...or something...since he had *black* soul stones......a few of the mission were pretty hard...but ive noticed that my sneak *bow* attacks are ecoming more lethal...and sometime in dungeons i can get off 2-3 before im detected...however if i am detected..ive noticed that its hard to switch from bow to melee quickly...i usually try save my magika to throw a mini fireball (flare some 20 pts of fire dmg) at my assailent (hoping to stun him for a slpilt second during my switch)

all in all this has been a very fun game...and there are tons of side quests i haven't even work on yet!

Yeah praying at the Altar of the Nine in any church before three days are over will prevent you from becoming a vampire. You can also check to see if you still have the disease by going to the last tab in the Magic menu and see if anything is labeled with disease.

yeah i kept trying search for the disease..to see what it did..but i couldn't find it...i just went to the church and prayed...and left the save game there..just in case i didn't actually get healed...=P

check to see if you still have the disease by going to the last tab in the Magic menu
ill have to keep that in mind (i kept checking the stats menu....i figured if it kept track of my fame/infamy/bounty...etc..i might have that info...guess not!)

thanks for all the info!
