Mmmnnn... It's like I figured then...
I guess only select places got em', the EB by my house got 8, and of course, it was first come first serve, and I had school that day, and I totally bombed this pop quiz, AND I woke up too late... Blah! That was the worst day of my life, but oh wellz, I can wait next month until the launch. I have one already pre-ordered.

Currently have some moolah down on the Wii as well...
I think I should make some sort of financial plan so I can have it paid off before release... :nerd:

Read an article today about Sony bragging that the first launch game for the PS3 already uses the entire 25GB of the single layer Blu-Ray disc. I guess they intended it to be very impressive, but all I kept thinking was that they did some very sloppy coding and compressing.

25GB!? Holy Guaccamole!!
Buuut... Unfortunately a good 15-20 of that is probably for the graphics alone... :undecided:

Think I'll go check out some gametrailers...

maybe they'll have uncompressed voicework for once, or some FMV opening like in the original Resident Evil

yeehaw....

/false enthusiasm, except about RE movie clip, I love that crap, I'm gonna go play RE right now

Most of it was for uncompressed HD quality FMV's IIRC. Then a lot of room for uncompressed 7.1 Surround Sound. Meaning if you really want to enjoy all the 25 GB's you'll be selling your organs just to get the kit you need. And it won’t even add to the gameplay.

Speaking about surround sound, anyone hear of this new thing called "AmBX"?
Supposedly a surround sound system with FX, made specifically for all the next gen technology coming out within the next couple years. I was reading about it, sounds cool, but it also sounds like it'll be expensive.

Meh, I haven't seen a single PS3 exclusive that seems more fun than things I can fit on a Memory Stick. Of course there's that Genji sequel. That game looks incredible, I'll be able to relive ancient Japanese history as a samurai. Battling giant enemy crabs, hitting weakpoints for massive damage, all while changing weapons - in real time!

Linky? Most new audio stuff is hella expensive. Audiophiles like to pay the big bucks for that kind of stuff. Makes them feel elite.

If you poke through all the marketing speak, it sounds like a technique with a lot of potential.

But most probably expensive, none-the-less.... :undecided:

ALthough... I'm extremely interested to see it when its completed.
See what it's FULL capabilities are, rather then what we've currently.
I'm sure they can expand and work on this so much more.

 lol
Yeah, I think the 'tilt' feature is kind of lame too, but whatever, so goes the future of gaming... Apparently...

Hey... Are you guys talking about that game for the 360 where you can kill zombies with pretty much anything? What's that called? Am I even talking about the right thing?

I need to Gain from others' wisdom

I'm looking into getting a lap top. First of all, all I'll need is a word processor, Verizon high speed, and (of course) to play D2X online.

I need to know what brands are most trust worthy. I'm pretty literate when it comes to making computers continue running smoothly, but not when it comes to brands and whatnot. Let me stress one thing though: I do not need a high performance machine. I will not download any music on it, or save any pictures or anything like that. I am an author and will use it primarily for writing my novel and my 200+ short stories for storage and easy access. Like I mentioned before, I will be installing Verizon high speed DSL on it, as well as D2X.
I looked at a Dell and for 574$ I can get what I need; 1GBRam, 40GB HD, 1.65MGz, and whatnot. Only I have heard Dell's are like the Kia's of the computer world; Great, but only for about 100,000 miles :wink3:

So, any input and/or advice is appreciated. Thanks a lot guys and gals
