Tell me about it. At my old highschool, a 2.5 GPA qualified you for the Honor Roll. I'm like what.....a 2.5 is a C average. How the hell is that Honor Roll material?

Thats actually amazing, Mad Mantis. I've NEVER seen anyone get a perfect score before. Surprisingly, even when people cheat!

People qualify for honor roll with a 2.5 GPA? Wow... You're old high school really was much ghetto'er than Turb's, huh?

Mostly cheating is done when you either failed to learn for a test, or really do not understand the subject. In both cases you can not get enough info on cheat sheets to understand a subject. There just isn't enough room and time.

Yeah, but if you do know the subject and you cheat it'll do nothing but help...providing you don't get caught, though, if you know the subject, why would you cheat...unless

*head asplodes*

speaking of studying...

[SKOOL RELATED RANT]

Meh, I've got this class that I find to be horribly easy, Intro to Earth Science, and for some reason everybody else flunks the tests and whines about it. I mean, it's just rocks and lava, what's the big friggin deal? Considering he's dumbed down his tests to the point that I feel like studying is a complete waste of time, I don't understand it.

I just think people are allergic to a little bit of study time. I mean, I just cram for an hour before class and I ace the tests (they're incredibly basic) last semester I had a class where I had to wake up some 6 hours before the class just to get enough studying in, and I still didn't do as well as I would've liked on some of the tests.

Why do people ***** when it's nobody's fault but their own? [/SKOOL RELATED RANT]

its a form of denial...if the course is hard...blah blah blah..then it can't be me not understanding the course material..OR me being to lazy to apply myself...so it must be the course..yup...=)...at least thats how i perceive that view

I've got classes where there is a guaranteed failure percentage of 98% on your first test. Almost nobody passes that in the first go, even if you study for a week or three. However most classes just require some dedication in actually doing your homework. Not exiting and it can be hard to maintain, but it has to be done.

Yeah, that's the problem. This guy is a geologist who knows his stuff, but he hasn't taught in like, 20 years, so they're taking advantage of that fact and telling him the class is too hard, what's on the test isn't gone over well enough (which is garbage, he basically gives you everything that's on the tests). I would think it's just people being crapped out of the horrible public school system that plagues the states, but it's a night class...and most of the students are older than I am...

Yeah, I guess some people just don't understand that you go to school to learn

On a side note, have you guys seen how bloody crazy those new Pokemon games are in Japan, 2 million copies and sold out on the first day . As if the DS needed any help in the sales department...

yeah..i agree....the only challenging courses i had in HS were the AP ones...trying to get 5's etc....honors was ok...but reg classes were a joke..sadly....and many of the students weren't really there to learn...more to socialize..granted this is a sweeping generalization...but thats how i felt many times....college on the other hand...if you're not there to learn...you're gone in the first year or two....but then again..mostly only the HS creme dela creme make it to the university lvl (well the good one certainly...)

They still make new Pokemon games? Aren't there like twelve billion already? There aren't even that many Army Men games.

Apparently, it's the new ones of the series, Diamond/Pearl. It's probably because they're backwards compatible with the GBA ones and they have online battling/trading through the DS's Wifi.

Wow... That's kind of a sickening thought.
Listing them, how many is that?

Red, Blue, Green (Japan), Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald... Annnd I can't remember anymore, I want to say "Topaz", but im pretty sure there wasn't an alteration of 'Yellow'. But damn, those guys must be making a killing, each of their pokemon games have got to almost sell out in quite a few stores around the world.
