Off hand Bartuc socketing

Ok, I've just discovered from the stickied FAQ that some stuff/mods on the off hand Assy weapon/claw are not applied during an attack, except while in WW?

That would explain why only my left hand (as you look at the character) Bartuc breaks (needs repair) and the right one doesn't.

Therefore, would it be a waste to socket an off-hand Bartuc with an ED jewel ---only the left hand ED jewel is applied?

BTW: I socketed my Natalya's armor with an ED jewel, was that a mistake?

Please advise, and I *do* have some follow up questions.

The ED will affect the offhand swipes of Normal Attack, FoF, CoT, BoI, DC, and WW. All other weapon attacks use only the primary weapon, and thus only the primary weapon's ED.

Although this may seem "nubish," I'll ask anyways. If I socket an ED jewel into the primary Bartuc, will it "stack" with the ED jewel I socketed into my assy's armor?

Also, can you, or some one else please elaborate a little more on what a "normal" attack is, vs an "abnormal" one is?

Tiger Strike = Normal
Phoenix Strike = non normal?

Or, are you referring to the "finisher?" The assy I'm buidling is MA with a DT finisher ---the ED jewels have no impact on the DT? Or would only the jewel in the armor affect the DR total damage?

Oh, and before I forget, what numbers should I be shooting for, in terms of strength and dex, considering my assy's finishing move is DT?

I noticed in the kicking sticky, and example of 250 str and 150 dex was used. Is that ideal?

And another thing, what do ya'll think about socketing Natalya's headgear with a jewel jewel that gives fire high fire damage, I think ~20 - ~50 fire damage?

Heh. "Normal Attack" is the melee attack that all characters get at level 1 without any skill point investment. Its icon looks like an arrow pointing southeast.

Yeah, only the off-weapon ED will help. Neither primary or secondary weapon ED has any effect on kicks.

The most common approach is the minimum STR and DEX necessary to use your desired equipment. For STR, that'll usually be a target of 160+ in order to use the heaviest, most damaging boots. DEX will be enough to get max block with your endgame shield.
