    Intresting sentence indeed . . .

But for the "punishment" i guess if the guy is an artist, this doesnt affect him in anyway.

BUT if he wasent an artist, im pretty sure the punishment hurts!

I think it could be good, depending on how he reacts to it. Maybe he can use this to boost his sales and get him off the streets. I doubt jail time would do him any good. Especially for petty theft.

Thats honestly a great idea. Such a sentence allows him to improve himself. Like it was said above that is exposure, and such exposure could allow him to bring in a profit and actually get himself off the street, or at the very least feed himself and cloth himself.

I'm sure you've all heard at least one of the two...

A teenager was being sentenced for petty theft. The judge had had his bike stolen as a kid, and apparently it left a mark. He told the boy to go home and bring back his favorite possession. He returned with a remote control car. The judge took a hammer and smashed it to bits, adding that now he might feel the same sense of loss that his victim did.

Another judge started offering a choice of sentences to people who disturbed the peace by blasting their stereos: They could pay the normal fine and do community service...or they could spend three hours a week for six week listening to the stereo blasting his choice of music. Most people chose the latter, but quickly regretted it. In among the polka and bagpipes, the judge used to throw in some of his own performances, but that was abandoned when they found out the offenders actually liked it.
